The only downside is that once you use all the helium you have to throw the tank away. Otherwise it works just as good if not exactly like the ones you see at any dollar store. Pricey-BUT...if you're wanting to blow up a good bit of balloons, who wants to take them all to a store, to stand in line & wait while they blow up fifty-eleven balloons, and charge you over a $1 PER BALLOON(especially if you don't buy balloons from said store) when you could've just ordered this tank. And even if you don't think you need as much helium, there's always a birthday, anniversary, or some celebration that you could put it to use later.

beware that the helium doesn't keep the balloons afloat long. I did it for a company event. Blew them up at 4 pm the day before, and the next morning, they were all on the floor. I still can't find anywhere in the description that says they only float for 5-7 hours?

I was a little concerned with the other reviews when I bought this. Not sure what to think about the others but here's my experience. I received this tank timely and the packaging was just fine. When I pulled the tank out of the box I did think I got duped (empty tank) because I've never bought a helium tank before. I was expecting the weight to be like what my propane tanks are like. Was not so. This tank does feel empty upon pulling it out of the box, but I've filled several balloons with it so far and it's working perfectly. A little more detail though: the plastic shut off valve people are complaining about - I have no problem with. It works. Enough said. Turn the knob on only when you are ready to use the tank, then shut it off. On the balloons: I bought some balloons from the dollar store where you can insert a nozzle in them then the slit in the bottom of the balloon seals itself when you press on it after the balloon is filled with helium. I think this detail has much to do with people complaining about balloons falling down after 1 day. I did a "test run" with one of the aforementioned balloons and the balloon was in the air for well over a week. I will buy this tank again. I have zero problems with it.

We needed 250 balloons for our church's balloon launch. The helium delivered in good time. We didn't know balloons were included in the box, because the description didn't say they were included. We blew up the balloons at 6AM and by 9AM they were starting to shrink and fall down. We expected them to last at least 6 hours. The balloons were poor quality and leaked helium. The helium tank was easy to use, but our balloon launch was a disaster due to the leaky balloons. Next time we will purchase the same helium tank, but we will purchase quality balloons from somewhere else.

I have read all the mixed reviews of this product. I've been using this product for years and have generally been happy. I would recommend filling balloons as close the start of the party as possible. That being said, I have a mylar balloon that is still floating on my ceiling almost a month later. Kids didn't put ribbon on it so I'm waiting for it to drift down. Follow the directions and you should be good. Blows up a fair amount of balloons too

Product is fine for regular balloons but not for Mylar balloons or balloons that have glitter inside. Bought this to blow up balloons for my kids bday and as soon as I blew up the number 3 mylar balloon it laid on the ground and wouldn't float up. When I blew up the balloons with the glitter inside the balloons fell to the ground within the hour. This is cheap helium!

Product description says 50 9" balloons and this only managed to fill 33 for me. Also in less than 1 day balloons are on the ground. Ruined my party decorations end up buying balloons from local store.We started filling the balloons up the night before the event (around 10pm) at the venue and we left happy with our decorations even though ended up filling only 33. We skipped some area and did not put balloons. 2 hours before the event when we arrived at the place we saw all the balloons are on the ground to our shock at that was around 14 hours after we fill it up, added more stress since we have to scramble and get balloons from local store. I recommend not to buy this product if you are planning to have the balloons a night before the event. And do not raise your hope of blowing more balloons. This can only fill up 33 balloons.
