A Must-Have for Wound Care
Medihoney is truly amazing! I highly recommend it for wound care, especially for anyone who struggles with slow healing. I’ve used it on a mastectomy incision, pressure sores, and diabetic ulcers, and the results have been quick and impressive. This ointment has become an essential part of my healing routine and I can’t say enough good things about it.

Helped the healing process
Great product that helped my sunburn heal quickly. Not fun to put on a burn as it’s sticky but feel it did help in the healing process

Worked well
My doctor had recommended this to help with a wound that was slow to heal. I applied just a little every day before putting a bandage over it. It seemed to stick to my skin well and wasn't runny. It seems to have worked well because my wound healed faster after starting to use this. It also seemed to be good quality and worth the price.

...
I experienced a deep second degree burn on the back of my knee from a hot dirt bike motor. The burn was about 5-6" in each direction. Very ugly and red, with black dead tissue around the edges. I went to a hospital two days after the burn occurred. They didn't prescribe oral antibiotics for some reason, but cleaned the burn, wrapped it, and gave me a big tube of topical antibiotic cream. I was instructed to clean and dress the burn daily. Luckily they didn't have to debride the dead flesh which mostly came off on its own when I was showering.I bought a tube of Medihoney at the recommendation of a friend who is a nurse at a highly respected hospital in PA. I began using Medihoney daily, before applying the antibiotic cream, along with meticulous cleaning and dressing of the burn. I ate as healthy as possible (tons of protein to help repair the burn), kept the burn from touching anything, even when sleeping, and generally exercised as much caution as possible to avoid infection. It was very painful and swollen for weeks. In spite of my efforts, the burn was not healing like I hoped and started to look infected. Maybe it was inevitable due to how large and deep it was. I went to an urgent care about 2.5 weeks later and was prescribed a ten day supply of oral antibiotics (Bactrim). They half laughed about why I hadn't been prescribed them at the hospital weeks prior. I have no idea. I'm not a medical professional. I was wary about taking antibiotics because there can be lot of negative side effects. Sure enough, I hated the first two days of taking Bactrim because it made me feel ill and unwell. By the end, however, I didn't feel as sick and, most importantly, the infection subsided. The burn lost its "red and angry" appearance. From there, it rapidly closed up. I'm now left with a bunch of scarring but I'm just glad there were no other complications.I rated Medihoney three stars because I didn't notice any assistance from it at all. The burn didn't heal quickly (took about a month to fully close up and stop oozing), it actually got infected in spite of using this product, and now I have scarring. It wasn't until I took Bactrim that there was any noticeable improvement. I admit, there are a lot of variables which affect the way any wound heals, but this is not a miracle ointment. Maybe it's better for smaller injuries. Maybe it's worked for other people.
