Brilliant stopped me feeling bloated

If you have stomach issues, the friendly bacteria in Probiotics is recommended. You are going to want to try a brand for a few weeks and see if they are for you. These 'Zipvit Pro Bio 20 Billion CFU Probiotics' look a little scary at first, but they are a typical capsule form. They will not be easy to swallow for people who struggle, a dairy based version may be better here, but I took them with water at breakfast and they were easy.There is no taste. At £8 for a month's worth, that is not the cheapest you can get, but they have helped my stomach. This is in keeping with a sensible diet. I think these probiotics work well if you are also conscious and sensible what you eat and drink for the rest of the day.

I used zipvbit many years ago, so it is well-established and I always found it reliably good (this product comes in a packet, but the company was named after the zipped bags products often come in). This is a high-strength probiotic supplement containing 20 billion CFUs per capsule with three strains of beneficial bacteria. Many products contain a bewildering array of strains but this keeps things simple. I personally look for probiotics that include Lactobacillus Plantarum, and this has 5 Billion CFUs) - and I also like the Bifidobacterium Animalis for colon health. The vegan-friendly capsule shells are transparent, you can see the powder inside - and open them up and mix the powder into a liquid if you’d prefer not to swallow capsules. I screwed a capsule open this morning, teased out the powder then stirred it into a glass of kefir which I drank on an empty stomach.The BBE is a year on from the date of receipt. I couldn’t see any specific protection against stomach bile and acid (like enteric coating or microencapsulation), but Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus rhamnosus are naturally acid-resistant. The product could be improved by leaving out the maltodextrin filler and adding some protection from stomach acid, but overall I’m pleased with it.

I got these as I have IBS and will try anything to relieve the symptoms!They are a bit on the low dose side at 20billion CPU (sounds ridiculous to call that low but I have some that are 80 billion!). No one really knows if this kind of supplement does anything so I don't think a few billion difference here or there matters!They come in blister packaging rather than loose in a bottle and are easy to swallow.One capsule a day so this is one month's supply.I will take them for a month and report back if they do anything for me.
