âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ Clover Power: My Dogs Tried to Destroy It, and It Said âNot Today
We bought this clover seed out of pure lawn-related desperation. We have four dogs who treat our backyard like a racetrack, wrestling ring, and bathroom all in one. Our grass didnât stand a chance. It was less âlush green paradiseâ and more âpost-apocalyptic dirt patch with dreams.âEnter white Dutch clover. I read that it holds up better to foot traffic, needs less water, and can even outcompete weeds. Honestly, I wouldâve tried magic beans at this point, but this stuff actually works. The cost is minimal and it's easy to plant! What I love: ⢠It sprouted fast. I threw it down like a hopeful gardener with low expectations, and boomâgreen. ⢠It stays green. Even when my dogs are out there doing zoomies like caffeinated goats. ⢠Itâs soft, not prickly like some grasses, and my dogs donât seem to mind laying on it after playtime.Itâs not a miracleâyou still have to water it and give it a fighting chanceâbut itâs way tougher than regular grass. I even caught myself just standing out there admiring the clover like a proud suburban wizard. If youâre tired of your dogs turning your lawn into a dust bowl, give this a shot. Itâs holding up way better than anything else weâve tried, and the backyard no longer looks like a scene from a wild west movie.Vine Team, Iâve got dogs, dirt, and high hopes. Let me test more stuff that survives the chaos.

Good quality clover
This is a good seed bag for clover, however I was unaware that thereâs not just white Dutch clover in this bag which is my fault but for anyone else; this has a handful of other plant species in here. I canât tell if a lot of the weeds in this mix are solely from the mix or from weeds in properties around mine but Iâve been doing a lot of weeding to the planted patch. A couple notes on this species of clover; it LOVES water. Thatâs how youâll get seeds to sprout and grow quickly. I canât tell yet how drought hardy itâll be but it for sure isnât a fan of full day sun exposure. Where the bare spot is gets sun all day long and weâve had days over 100 quite a bit. The clover is still growing but itâs very patchy and slow growing in those spaces. The fully planted space was planted a couple weeks before the more bare space but you can tell all the growth along the edge of the more bare patch is whatâs growing best regardless with the higher amount of shade. So IMO nothing wrong with the quality of this seed mix, but know this does best with at least partial shade and there are other seeds in here that arenât clover. Iâve included the most prevalent plant of it sprouting right with the clover as well as how it looks mature and amongst the clover. A good addition I think because itâs very tolerant of traffic. The clover itself is okay to be walked on, itâll bounce back up and not die but it is delicate and could be torn up a lot from anything over a calm walk. Iâd suggest stepping stones for frequently used paths and probably not the best for kids or pets running around.

make's for a green lawn and plenty of bees
We have the greenest lawn in our neighborhood. The blossoms are sweet. We have an over abundance of bees, so walking barefoot is risky. It's easy enough for a child to plant. I had our 5 year old plant it, and before long I noticed bright green stripes. Lawn companies think we have a serious problem. I'd say Lucky!

Great product
These seeds were exactly what i needed. Probably 90% germination rate and still popping after several weeks. Incredibly soft to lay on with a near jelly-type feel. All but one of my partners enjoy slumbering on it with me so I'd say it's been a great success!

Great seeds
Worked great. Threw on the ground after a rain storm and let nature take over. Germinated fast, rooted well, filling in bare sports nicely.

Mixed feelings about this product.
So I wish I would have read the negative reviews first. It's been a little over two weeks and 15 pounds of something later and I have small spots of sprouts in a few areas.First off, my yard should have only used 4â5 pounds to cover according to their advertisement, not so!I used a Scott's spreader set on 2 that's the lowest setting on mine and did one pass north to south and one east to west. Before I seededI raked all the dead up, really went at it and got it to bare dirt. Then I rented an aerator from HD and beat myself to death with that. My yard was finally ready for seed.I spread the seed, raked it lightly and turned the water back on. Watered everyday twice a day for two weeks now and nothing! If things start to come in I willupdate this post.Update I changed my review from 1 star to a 3 star.I am starting to see sprouts pop up thanks to the heavy three times a day water cycle. I think part of the problem was not enough water? There are spots where I seeded twice and still nothing! Also, I had to use 15 pounds of seed vs what they post on the ad. I also seed over areas twice to achieve any results.A big are in the front of the house still has zero sprouts and they were sowed a day apart? I don't know why that is? Product, soil, too much sun,not enough water?? I can tell you it loves water! I have a small are of dirt on the drive way from run of and it's now mud from all the water and it's growing sprouts from the overspray. Lol! I'm thinking I'll shovel it up and place it on a bare spot close by.
