When I first saw this product, i was beyond skeptical! But my hatred for housing plastic in my mouth for 8 hours/day made me order. I am SHOCKED how well the design works, and I'm a light sleeper! It stays perfectly in the mouth, one piece on each row, like perfect. Haven't had an issue, and I fall asleep fast with it.The double layer is very luxurious (compared to the original). I'm not a dentist, but it feels like it spaces the mouth out even better, and discourages grinding more than the original (by keeping the teeth farther away from each other and the jaw less likely to clench b/c its bigger). I think the fact that there's more material (and the softness doesn't hurt) enhances the anti-bruxism effects. I will only order this version from hereon out, it is the best!!! Highly recommend!

I'm dying to find an alternative to a plastic mouth guard, but sadly this wasn't it. Basically, it's just a piece of hemp fabric that doesn't stay in place, and in my case gave my psyche some permission to GRIND HARDER while I was sleeping. The first night it just fell out (somewhere in bed) and I had to reach for the second one; the second night it stayed in (getting used to it) but I woke up with the whole right side of my jaw in crazy pain...I had been grinding the thing all night. It's like if you put a piece os burlap in your mouth, and while asleep, there's nothing to prevent you from grinding: it just gives your jaw permission to grind harder. If the company wants to make one that works, they really need to craft one that is shaped around teeth, like a bleaching tray. Even if it fits loose-ish it will stay in place and the structure (a bit harder, I'm suggesting) will train the brain to not try to bite.

I started clenching my teeth in my sleep in January of 2023 during a stressful life event. Fortunately the stress has come and gone. However the clenching still remains and I haven't figured out how to stop yet. I've been using bpa free bite guards but I have never trusted that the plastic chemicals aren't being absorbed into my body. I have been searching for an organic bite gaurd here and there and this one popped up! It only had 4 reviews but they were all good reviews so I ordered immediately!Shipping was fairly quick and my order arrived neatly packaged in compostable packaging and with instructions.I'm only on night two of using it but I must say, it works!! My jaw has not popped for two days now.It forms to your teeth and stays in place all night. It is easy to clean and after just a little trimming it was pretty comfortable.The only thing that was a bit unexpected for me was the first time I put it my mouth (I tested it out during a short nap) I was drooling like crazy! I believe my body was trying to counter the dry hemp material in my mouth. This only happened one time but I think when I order more in the future, I will dampen them before I wear them the first time.If you are looking for a natural solution that is chemical free and actually helps, give this a try!

This is a great alternative to plastic mouthguards stewing in your mouth throughout the night! I am really impressed by the design and it's simplicity. I had no concern of choking past the first nights of questioning this possibility; once you personally understand how it works, it makes better sense. Once again, thank you!!! Expensive? maybe, but they last a very long time and they represent one less piece of plastic on this earth; yay another compostable product.Update...purchased in August of 2023, and still (January, 2025) so happy with this product. I did purchase another set mid 2024 and have one of my original ones still in use. If you follow the basic care instructions that arrive with these from the seller, they will last and serve well.

Cost too much for what it is. I didn’t find that it formed to my teeth as well as others have said and it made me feel that it might lodge in my throat during the night.

It amazes me that almost all dental night guards are still made from plastic because even the ones that don't contain phthalates are potentially toxic because of the poisonous nature of plastics. Organic hemp is obviously a wise choice when fashioning a dental night guard and this particular one is quite comfortable compared to the typical ones that I've tried, which includes one that my dentist made. It does the job being that my teeth are unable to touch when I wear it, which is what the device is made to do. The only advice that I would give the manufacturer would be that they should have grooves in them when purchased rather than being flat.

This is the only nightguard that I can tolerate, so I am very grateful that it exists. Plastic nightguards trigger my oral lichen planus, but I need a nightguard because I grind my teeth. I moisten the hemp nightguard, put it in place, and then tape my mouth lightly shut for the night. The nightguard stays in place well and is perfectly comfortable. I can tell that it is protecting my teeth, and I notice less jaw cracking since I started wearing it (a few weeks ago). Each morning I rub it under running water, dip it in boiling water, and hang it to dry, and once a week I boil it for three minutes. An excellent product!

I like to do as much as possible to find natural alternatives to chemicals and plastics. If you aren't a gagger (like when you have x-rays done on your back teeth) then maybe you'll be OK. I couldn't use these. I cut them down to size, followed the directions, and even wet them before I put them in my mouth as another buyer recommended in their review to help mold to my teeth. That didn't help. It literally is hemp material between your teeth with a string that does absolutely nothing except annoy you.
