Does an excellent job
This is the second of these cameras that I have fitted. I am very pleased with them both. They are easy to set up and connect to the phone , Alexa automatically connects once the phone is set up. Physically fixing them to an outside wall is fairly easy as the bracket only needs four holes drilling in the wall but the two screws that fix the camera to the bracket are very small and fiddly to fit. There is quite a high probability that one or both will be dropped whilst trying to insert them. The video is very clear, the built in floodlight is quite bright and the infra red night vision works well. The sound quality is not perfect but completely acceptable. Movement sensing and tracking are excellent. All in all a great camera and well worth the price.

Excells in some areas, not in others
So this is my 7th Imou camera - I've had these for years and been really happy with the performance & cost / value. Saw this one on a sale and since I wanted to add a 360 one, I went for it.It's bigger than I thought - not necessarily a bad thing but I prefer them smaller. I can see this one from across the garden. I love the flat charging cable as it's easier to put through a window frame. The picture is just ok - the angle is not as wide as my other (old - HD, also Imou) camera and the colours, especially green are not great - see the photos. I've added the 2024 2k (1st pic) and for comparison my old HD Imou camera (2nd picture). The image is overall sharper but not impressed with the colours and view angle - even though you can obviously move it around.Performance - wise, it's all good and I love the new "favourites" feature. Detection works well and the spot light is pretty bright - muchbrighter than on my other cameras. Adding it to the app was easy, took only a minute or so. Recording works fine - same as other cameras I have. All in all - a good camera that works well. Highly recommended to all.

This is a great camera, only £29.99Easy to drill a whole, feed wire through and just plug in and set upI have set my custom alarm to be the "apollo fire evacuation" tone with a security message neighbours got a fright going to the bin!!!! The only issue i have is the sellers lack of communication i keep asking them what happens if i dont pay for the imou subscribe thing but i dont know that yet, any issues (as this is only up 2hrs) i will update you and i will make sure i do. Simple.

Brill camera
I bought 2 of these cameras and they were incredibly easy to setup, only took me approx 5-10 minutes, connected to the WiFi wirelessly really easily. It has really good picture and sound quality. Easy to use the app and move the camera, use the alarm feature, the spot light and the 2 way audio. 10/10 so far.

Only worked for 6 months - very poor support
This camera appeared well built when I got it.Connection to my home WiFi was more difficult than other products I have installed. The image quality was good and tracking worked well. The app which controls the camera has been poor and has been updated several times which required reinstalling amd security set up.Over the last few weeks I have noticed that the camera has been offline when I check it, after a reboot it connects again this is happening almost daily now. However it isn't the power unit as the senor (and light) still work but the camera doesn't.I contacted support and was passes from one department to another. As a resolution I was sent a series of pictures which with foreign text.I will find a replacement unit from a better quality supplier with better customer support, I suggest you do the same .

Great - but adding POE would have made it a lot more useful - updated
They have sensibly added ONVIF compatibility, so works with other systems such as digital DVR's.They have sensibly added a ethernet port as decent WiFI reach outside is often difficult, so why not have added POE, so that you only have to run one cable. You already have the ethernet socket!Plus the power cable supplied is nowhere near long enough - but don't use that anymore - see below!June 2025Have upped my rating to five stars - Have quite a few of these cameras now and are connected to own NVR Network Video Recorder, which allows easy recording and no lag. The app gives portable viewing and intruder detection. The app has got lot better, including easily changing the password, what it really needs is two more bits of information displayed:Local IP address and MAC address- with this information installation would be 10 times easier and quicker when used with an NVR.Still need an option to have POE (Power Over Ethernet) built in, then life would be really easy!Currently having to use a converter that spits out the 12v from the POE and outputs on the power jack to plug in. Works, but more expense and hassle. Not having an optical zoom, is not as bad as you think, as the resolution is high enough to zoom in without too much pixilation. Plus of course keeps the cost down, plus a fixed lens is nearly always sharper with a better aperture (better low light) than a zoom one. Have some optical CCTV cameras and most of the time they stay at a fixed zoom, and of course can't be altered at playback!Definitely a product that is improving - so take older reviews with a pinch of salt as they say!
