When it first arrived I thought it was going to be too big for what I wanted. But after holding it up to the door it looked perfect. I installed this on double doors separating my dining and living room (see pics). The latch is high-quality, heavy duty and easy to install. Beware the length of the screws might be a little too long for your application. I had to use shorter screws because there was a chance these would have protruded out the other side.One of the best features is the automatic dust cover that is spring loaded. So when the latch is open, there's a cap inside the catch that springs up flush to the top to keep dust and debris out. Great idea.I installed the catch into the floor using a 7/8" spade bit on my drill. I had a scrap piece of flooring to practice on before going for it because I wanted to see how the flooring would take the spade bit. Everything worked out perfectly, I couldn't be happier with this product.

Phenomenal quality (304 stainless steel). Expensive yet I would say it is well worth the price. It comes with a hole for you to use with a combination lock🔒. Definitely functions as a heavy duty latch.

I was locking for an interior slide for my shed, so I could secure the second door into the floor, giving better security to both doors. Even though the lock did not come with any instructions it is pretty straight forward. I think the most difficult part was determining what size bit to router the floor for the plunger portion of the lock (I think it was 7/8). If you use the plunger make sure to use a heavy duty adhesive to secure it. The lock looks fantastic and operates very smoothly, and appears to be very secure. Highly recommend if this is the style of lock you are looking for.

I put this bolt on my front door after it almost blew open during a hurricane. Very well designed and constructed.

The product is very sturdy and very nice to look at. It is definitely pricey. After reading the reviews, including one with my 90 degree application, I decided to purchase a two pack for both gates on the new fence I built. I'm single and do what I can by myself (in this case, with the help of my retired neighbors). It took us 2 hours to install this with the container recessed into a 4x4 post. I'm not looking forward to the second gate install, also a 90 degree angle to the post it will latch onto. Drilling the correct size hole for the container was guesswork, very tedious and time consuming. After drilling the circle out of the 4x4 post with a 5/8", then a 7/8" bit, we continued to route out the hole with my largest standard drill bit until the container fit. We had to build out the latch support so it would come far enough into the middle of the post. Of course, in the end, the container wasn't in the spot we needed for the gate to line up, but I'll revisit that after the pain of the install has subsided. To manufacturer: At this price point, adding instructions for correct parts/bit sizes to do this successfully would be very helpful. I'm sure a standard installation is much easier, but for my application the install experience was a 3. (This is the first latch I've ever installed, so I can't really compare it to anything else - but the latch that came with my heavy-duty hinges - not usable for 90-degree application - had detailed instructions on the back of the packaging). All difficulties aside, I would likely purchase again.

I bought this Slide Bolt Gate Latch to replace a floor pressure lock bolt. Although not used on a gate, it worked really well for my application. Our back door has glass panes. To add another level of safety, we had a Foot Pressure Bolt into the floor. The problem was, I could never get it to unlock easily, especially if I was in a hurry. This created a problem if we had to get out the back door fast. I read lots of reviews and thought that this Slide Bolt would work . My husband installed it pretty easily. It works great and looks good too. I can open and close it easily and fast. It is a heavy duty, well made bolt latch.

These are much more sturdy than I expected! Definitely will buy more! Great buy!
