Needs dry sand to work
Fun and entertaining for our 2 yr. old grandson. Needs dry sand to work properly. Wet sand just plugs the upper chute.

I was surprised at the size - somehow based on the picture, I did not think it would be so big - great gift!

I love anything Melissa and Doug and even more so when I get a good sale!! and this does not disappoint at all!!!! it is perfect for any kid, any age to play in the water or the sand!! I actually bought a couple one for inside of my house for the bathtub and shower for my children as well as one for the outside in the sandbox!! always good to have on hand for an extra gift when in need! get it while you can!!

Fun for littles
Our 2 and 3 year old boys had fun playing with it but it doesn't work exactly as described. Sand gets stuck in the top and doesn't flow through as easily. The bottom does not turn as shown either. Might work better with water or very dry sand.
