Q: what is the Bodum Assam tea pot handle made of ?

Plastic. It is sturdy. I am on my second. I brew tea every day, at least once a day. I have been using one of these for at least 15 years. The first one cracked in an accident. It works for me.

Depends on which one you are selecting. Some are glass and some are plastic.

Q: Can you buy another infuser? We bought some Chinese teas which claim you can use them 6-8 times.

Yes, you can buy another infuser. You may have to go into Bodum's site to find them, but you get them. These stainless steel ones last a really long time.
