a strong color accurate to the color shown

It worked fine, it is a strong colorant and first time users should add it slowly and test...people complaining it didn't blend, probably didn't have enough heat to melt the colorant, and maybe used in a product they could not heat enough to melt it, it blended just fin at 160 degrees, used with paraffin and stearic acid, I poured the candles at 175I added more color to the melted wax, did not have to melt the color firstpeople complaining their candle wouldn't burn, may have added too much color, this is a colorant, it will color the candle but is not the primary burning material, add too much, you are making a crayon with a wickunderstand candle chemistry...the only nuisance is having to shave it... put a large piece of paper in the work area and, I shaved more than I needed for my recent batch to save time next time

Color and texture the best!!!

Easy to work with, great quality, amazing variety of colors, size and texture, you don't need big amounts and you can easily get the shade that you need without effort. Mix perfectly with soy wax and pro blend wax. If you keep and mind the shades buy it individually but if you want to try the 26 counts is a great value for money. highly recommended!!

Pretty but something is going wrong in the mixing

So we're going with 4 stars because I'm not sure if it's them, or me whose screwing it up. I'm new to candle making and so it could be me. They did make pretty colors but it was sooooo hard to melt them and even when most of it would, I'd still end up with little bits on the bottom of my jars, and once floating on top. I just can't get it all to mix. Now I will admit that I am horrible and measuring and testing and waiting, so I don't always know how much I'm using in what, I kinda just go by what looks like the right color and go from there. I also have soy wax, which if I had read the reviews better I would have known that not everyone was happy with them in soy wax... The colors are nice. The blocks are plenty big. It arrived on time in it's little box. It's just not melting all the way. I have however finally given up and went out and purchased a thermometer so we'll see if I can fix that little issue. If I do I'll come back and update, and if I find out it's the blocks and not me, I'll update as well. So we'll see. Still pretty tho.

Do not use unless you want candles that won't burn...

Welp... I own a candle business and have been making palm wax candles for some time. I love the way this dye looks as it gives nice opaque color to the wax. It's definitely not like any dye I've used and I was kind of excited about it. So, I made a bunch of beautiful candles with my new dye just to get a call that someone's candle kept going out after a few minutes. Doing some trials myself, sure enough after 15 minutes or so the wick clogs and stops burning. I'm using wood wicks too which are supposed to be much less sensitive to clogging, so forget about it with a traditional wick. I followed the instructions on the package to a T (gram scale and all), so it's not like I greatly overdid it with the dye loading. All in all, very disappointing and definitely not worth your money. Best to avoid. I got the gray color so perhaps the others magically don't have this problem but at this point I'm not going to waste my time to find out.

Maybe someone can help me with my candle issue??

Let give some information. I am using Candlewic brand tealight cups which are: 1/2 inches high by 3/4 diameter in size, aluminum. Candlescience Ecosoya CB Advanced Soy Wax. Candlescience Eco 1 1 inch Pretabbed Tealight Wicks. Last the dye I purchase here from Candle Shop. So, I am not sure why there seems to be a rejection of the wax to dye. When I use the blue dye it looks like the wax is separating a little from the dye. When I light the candle, the pool on the candle puts the wick out. Unless I pour some of the wax out while the tealight is lit then it works and sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time it creates a pool and then the wick diminishes into the pool and goes out. So far the Black, Blue and Orange dye has the same problem. Hope that makes sense.Unless like someone said here already this dye doesn't mix well with soy.
