Fit on my 5 gal bucket perfectly. I'm not using it for liquids so can't comment on that type of ability but easy to install and screwing on/off the top worked exactly as I had hoped.

I bought a 5 gallon bucket and got this lid for many uses. It was easy to put on the bucket. Then it seals the top airtight! I had a food grade bucket to store or carry food.I knew it could be used as a diaper pail and seal the smells from stinking up a baby room.While camping, could keep food from animals smelling, or stop garbage waste smells near camp.Gee, anything could be stored in a 5 gallon bucket with this lid.

Using these on standard-dimension 5 and 7- gal drums for fertilizer and for diatomaceous earth. You really need to pound the outer ring to get it to snap on the drum. Use a soft-face hammer; both went on well that way. The screw-on lid has worked well on both.

I used this with a food grade bucket to store my flour. Works wonderfully with no issues.

Word to the wise: this lid will not work unless you take the lid apart(the inside part which turns) and seat the ring solidly onto the bucket. Only then can you put the turning part on and get that food grade airlock seal. Otherwise, I purchased this because the food grade buckets i purchased DID NOT come with lids.

I love these lids. I've noticed varations (or knockoffs at home depot for example) by other companies, the Gamma 2 remains my preference despite a slightly higher pricing.It takes a bit of effort to initially get these on a bucket (I used a mallet, then ended up standing and stomping hard to get the lid to firmly and properly seat). Once it's on, I doubt it will come off without a special prying tool for 5 gal lids.Things I like: There is a seal for each of the lids to provide moisture protection. The lid is much easier to remove than a regular 5 gallon lid.Things to consider: the twist lid does take considerable effort to unscrew if it is closed tightly. I was surprised at the amount of force to remove it. I use my hands a lot--I'm not a bodybuilder, but consider my strength to be above average, it was a challenge to open. Maybe that just means not to tighten it extra tight. Or get the prybar made for giving extra leverage to unseal this type of lid.I now have 7 of these, and look forward to buying the smaller 2 gallon buckets. I primarily use these for food storage (grains, beans, cat food, etc).

Fits perfectly as a replacement lid for the dog food storage. My lid snapped and this is sooooo much cheaper than buying a whole new 50 dollar container.

Great for bulk food storage for pantry items that turn over quickly. Will hold 17 pounds of cat kibble, 10 pounds of nutritional yeast flake, and about 20 pounds cashews. Do not use for coconut oil, not a good enough seal. Moderate issue to install, piece of framing stud and 4 pound hammer to carefully convince to go on properly. Was worth the investment for the convenience of opening the lid.
