I got the plain pot with a solid stainless steel body (no water level window). It doesn't have a temperature control or any kind of lights except for a small one on the start button. For me, though, simple was the best way to go. The pot is sturdy, and it does include a water level marker on the inside so you know the maximum safe level. Then, you just put the pot on the stand, press the button, and let it do its thing. It takes several minutes for a full pot to boil, but if you only need a cup or two, a half pot of water boils pretty quickly. The only "drawback" if you can call it that, is that the power doesn't switch off until the water has clearly been at a full boil for about 30 seconds or so. It does switch off automatically, but I often stop it early.

There's lots to like about this, including the stainless steel liner, simple operation (add water, push button), and omnidirectional base. Having a way for the cord to roll up in the base is also a nice touch. It works well and boils water quickly, shutting off automatically after. The only functional issue I have found is that pressing the thumb button to open the lid only moves it about half way. You have to move it manually after that if you want it as open as possible. I also didn't appreciate that they put a barcode sticker on it that was horrible to remove. I had to use goo gone to fully remove the adhesive.

I got this kettle in place of a glass one of a different brand that stopped working. I can say for sure that this kettle keeps water hot much longer that the glass, which is one good quality I didn't expect.I got the "no plastic touching the water" kettle because I'm currently detoxing from plastic use. The plastic lid on it though has small clips that overlap the stainless steel part a little bit, but it's still better than most.It has a cool look and goes well with my appliances.

Possibly the best recent consumer good item I've made in a few years. By that I mean, for my needs, this delivered and more. It's so incredibly fast to boil water compared to my non-induction glass stovetop, still faster than the microwave and using less energy. If I have any regret, maybe not having looked into this sooner, for tea, for "pour over" drip coffee. it's great. I skipped the snap on plastic mesh for the spout, not trying to brew any petrochemical tea with my beverages. A simple metal version would be easy to make, could be appreciated by many.

I love this! Was tired of kettle on the stove all the time in the way when cooking. This heats the water faster than the stove! I can do my tea or French press coffee fast! Then fill to water level and it’s ready for me to flip the switch for the next time!

It's a simple kettle that does its job well. I like its large capacity while remaining compact, and it boils water reasonably fast.I have to deduct a star because no consideration was given to left-handed people. The water level markers are only visible when you hold the kettle with your right hand.
