24 Mantara Organic Rice, Sonamasuri, 10 Pound

Since my local Costco stopped selling organic black rice, I meal prep and use this red rice every week as part of a WFPB diet - I put it over chopped kale and then top it with black beans - my everyday lunch. This rice has a really delicious flavor and texture as well as good nutritional value for a whole grain.

We love this product. I hadn’t eaten red rice before and our family usually eats white rice with at least one meal a day, so I was a bit skeptic initially to try this. But it was an instant hit. I read some other reviews that mentioned otherwise, so for those I suggest using the boiling and slow straining method with a lid, it usually makes the rice flavorful and voluminous. We’re very happy to have switched to a healthier rice and not feel like we’re compromising on the taste.

Things I like about this rice is it’s non sticky and light. Doesn’t give heavy feeling. It’s worth for the cost .

I love red rice and this cooked well. I soaked the rice for 40 minutes, drained and then added rice water garlic, salt and butter to a rice cooker (not the fancy cooker, just simple pot) and it came out tasty in about 25 minutes.

I like the mission statement from 24 Mantra, I have one of their other products I have yet to try but the rice had a musty moldy smell to it, they quickly refunded me - its tricky to buy this stuff on line

This is delicious, nutritious organic red rice from India. I love it. The only downside is you pay almost the cost of the rice in shipping. However, it's worth it. Highly recommend.
