Effective for fruiting vegs with results
Effective fertilizers for organic gardening. It's very easy to apply, great value for money, and the size is just right. We highly recommend it for fruiting vegs. This is one of my fav fertilizer if you have no time to create your own compost. It does not burn plants.

Fantastic fertilizer! Plentiful harvests that keep coming
This product was an excellent addition to fertilizer regimen for my summer garden this year. Since I don't have a big yard, I concentrate only on growing veggies in container and hence will be reviewing this product for growing vegetables in containers.Having grown in containers on a very small scale for two subsequent years I realized this year that I wanted to have enough plants this summer such that my gardening was more than just a hobby and I could get some decent quantity of harvest. Container soil with additives is really expensive and it is also a terrible waste to buy fresh soil each season. With that in mind I decided to use my old soil that I have been using for the past two years and also since I was also adding some huge containers to my garden, decided to experiment with using cheap top soil with no additives and adding my own fertilizers and nutrients. Now I never use synthetic chemical fertilizers for my garden because (a) they are notorious for going into your local water bodies as run-offs and gradually but steadily disturbing your local ecosystem and (b) they basically destroy all the beneficial bacteria and fungi that you might have in your soil that keep the soil healthy and promotes healthy growth in plants. In the past I have used all liquid fertilizer that has worked well but the problem with that is that I needed to mix that in watering can every alternate watering and when you have as many plants as I was planning to have that becomes too tedious. So started looking for some combination of solid fertilizers and soil additives that I could add to the soil and essentially forget about for the better part of the season. When I transplanted my seedlings in early summer I used a combination of earthworm castings, Kelp meal and 'Down to earth' Biolive fertilizer which was essentially a mix of marine byproducts mainly crab meal and fish bone meal. I thought this in combination with some bat guano, that I would add later in the summer, would be enough for a nice crop. However even after three weeks of warm weather and bright sun, the seedlings grew very slowly and had started to get pale discolored leaves. Realizing that this could be because of nutrient deficiency and that the down to earth fertilizer was not good enough, I looked for an organic fertilizer that could correct the deficiency and fast. Thats when I found this product and since it promised to deliver fast result I decided to give it a go.Lo and behold, within a week of scratching this product into the top soil all my plants looked as if they had been jolted awake. They started growing greener, bigger leaves and I was happy to see that there were plenty of flower buds also developing on 'adolescent' plants.I will let the pictures speak for themselves but I will say that I am very impressed with this fertilizer. I have fed my plants only twice this season, once with this fertilizer and once with a half and half mixture of this and the Jobe's Rose and Flower fertilizer (this one has a higher potassium content that is needed for flower and fruit development). Yet the harvests have been multiple and plentiful, the fruits are flavorful and this fertilizer has completely surpassed all my expectations. I have already giving away many tomatoes and eggplants to friends and neighbors which is something I never expected to do when gardening only in containers. Yes this fertilizer is smelly but once worked into the soil it doesn't have any odor, for humans at least. And my philosophy is that the smelly fertilizers are always the best ones since that means that there is real decomposed organic matter in there which your plants will love.

So Far So Good
So far so good! The bags were a very nice size and very heavy and full to the top. I got two bags thinking that they would be smaller than how they appear on the website but I was surprised by the way in size for the price. Very fair. And having two very large plastic container bins that I use for composting, I only had to mix in a little bit of the fertilizer into my soil to provide the right amount of food for my plants. This should last me for quite a while. I'll come back with an update to see how my plants do after a few months of feeding them this product.

New To Plants
It's easy and it works. I put some in the container and a couple days later my plants were blooming. This product is way better than liquid fertilizer in my opinion. With liquid fertilizer I have to put it in water and be careful with how much I put (killed my first plant by putting too much liquid fertilizer), but with this, it's easy to grab a handful of these little balls and just put them at the base of the pot.

Love it but so does the dog
This is a great easy to use organic time release fertilizer. A little too good…. I used it two weeks ago on my heat stressed tomatoes (we live in way South Florida). The picture is a 3 day harvest. It does not include the ones in the fridge, the ones the birds got, or the 3 I ate today. I am now leaving bags of tomatoes on my neighbors’ porches like some adult prank. Unfortunately, my dog also loves it too, so my neighbors are also subjected to “No… that is for plants not puppies” As a side note my herbs and gardenia love this stuff. I decided to try cucumbers and zucchini. They doubled in size. Please send thoughts and prayers. Will send updates.

but formed a disgusting cloud of pretty noxious smell/chemicals that made me have ...
Not sure how many stars to give. Too soon to see how product works, but a word of caution...was packaged poorly and with no space between sealing tape and product. As a result, cutting open box opened the front side of top bag even though i was careful. Tried to pour into a container, but formed a disgusting cloud of pretty noxious smell/chemicals that made me have to leave the room and created a gross sediment layer on my counter. Be careful, and handle as a hazardous chemical.SO AFTER USING THIS PRODUCT FOR OVER A YEAR: I have determined that odor is actually b/c it's a fish meal based fertilizer. So PU, and yucky dust but I can't deny that my plants are lush and happy. I have a planted pot garden on patio, not sure if that makes a difference. And I use it as a refresher in the pots mixed in potting soil every month or so followed by a good watering. It seemed to help the plants get a big growth spurt once they were "adolescent," and also kicked in a second wind for the flowering plants after the first round of blooming was dying down. They sure seem to appreciate the nutrition. So have changed my mind about the first review.
