A little Thank you note, an extra smiley, and a free gift of lip balm (which is FANTASTIC!) My FAV thing about this product is the LACK of nasty cold sore med smell! There's no stink, no bad taste left in your mouth, and no tingles; though it IS soothing! Also priced much better than most cold sore meds, with more quantity. Win win WIN!!! I always get chapped lips which causes cold sores. This really helps them heal faster!! Worth buying!!!

EDIT: tube #2Man this product rocks. I’m only using this and icing my blister several times a day and it’s almost gone after 3 days. The blister is literally just disappearing without breaking open. This puts Abreva in the trash can forever for me. Try it- it’s worth it. It’s cheaper than Abreva too!I used the whole tube of this over 2 weeks time over a breakout and it never turned into a blister, and faded away. I won’t say that it took less time than using Abreva BUT it never turned into a yucky, yellow and raw mess. Smells nice. I love the free lipbalm. I will definitely come back to use this product before my next breakout.

This was the first time purchasing this product and I purchased out of desperation. I usually only got 1-3 cold sores a year. I got one and thought I'd try Abreva as I'd never used it before. It didn't really seem to affect the sore one way or the other but just after that sore healed, I still had the redness though, symptoms of another sore started! I immediately started using Abreva at the first sign of a new sore but it did nothing to stop the outbreak. That sore healed- still redness of this one, then again immediately another sore erupted! I have never in my life had the three cold sore outbreaks back to back. I started wondering if the Abreva had something to do with it so I started searching the internet for similar cases like mine of Abreva users and to my surprise, there are others who feel Abreva made their outbreak worse or even brought on more outbreaks. I don't understand how or why this is possible. Fed up and embarrassed of the repeated outbreaks, I found this product on Amazon and started using it on the last cold sore. I don't know that it healed it any faster because it was close to the end stages of healing anyway but since then, I've been almost paranoid at any tingly feeling on my lip, I apply this ointment and nothing ever appears. Since using this, I've had no more cold sores. Coincidence? I don't know but since throwing the Abreva out and keeping this ointment along with the chapstick style of this ointment, I've not had any cold sores. I'm sold!

This item is NOT the same item as Herstat PLUS. I use Herstat PLUS and was so excited when I thought I found it at a cheaper price. This product is not the same even though it looks very similar. It's just a skin protectant with the active ingredient white petrolatum. The kind I like and use has the active ingredients Camphor and menthol ..which is what actually helps to treat my cold sore and fever blister outbreaks. I doubt this product will do anything but seeing as it's non refundable I'm stuck with it. I guess it's my own fault for not paying attention. Just wanted to make sure nobody else makes this mistake.
