Size:77mm Introduction 1) Zomei graduated grey filters are grey on the top and clear on the bottom, with a gradual shift in the middle. 2) Grads also allow you to lighten parts of the image, like the foreground above. Grads lighten dark parts of the image because you use more overall exposure when the overly bright parts are dimmed through the gray part of the filter. Functions 1) Grads are used to darken the brighter part of a scene so that it falls within the dynamic range of the camera. They help to control lights that get too bright in one part of the picture, like the sky. 2) You can rotate the frame so the gray part covers the part of the image you want to darken. Package Include: 1 * 77mm Slim Graduated ND

Very good value, competitive optical quality
These are well made products. I have several Zomei filters. I shoot with Canon L glass a lot, but also with Canon's new breed of digital-optimized EF lenses. Due to another reviewers comments about these filters imparting softness, I did an informal test with a Canon EF 35 f2 USM IS lens mounted on the Canon EOS 5DSR under cloudy skies. I tested the straight lens, a B+W F-Pro polarizer, a Tiffen low light polarizer, and the Zomei 67mm neutral grad 0.6. I have to say that at raw viewing and 300% zoom, there is little difference between all 3 filters. They all impart a very minor softness compared to the straight lens with no filter. I think we're looking at basic laws of optics here. You put additional glazing between a quality lens and your subject and degradation is going to be evident, especially with 50 megapixels. Don't be afraid to buy this neutral density grad filter to darken skies - it'll work just fine. Just remember to put some lube, that won't attract dust, on the threads so it will dismount the lens easily.

gray gradient filter
This product came well packed, included a carrying case. The filter looks to be well built with quality materials and fits my lens very well. I have only attached the filter at this point; have not actually used it. I needed it for a trip to Florida beaches next week. I needed this type filter and an ND filter, but had a tight budget. I have been very pleased with my Zomei tripod, so I was glad to see these filters offered by same company. I have every reason to believe these filters will be exactly what I need.

Does what it is suppose to, but has a draw back
The blues pop, the darkened sky makes exposing in bright light easier. The biggest problem I have is it shows in the corners really bad. Some photos will have a purple hue in the darkened area. For a beginner who wants to start in to filters, this will give you an idea of what a Graduated ND filter does.

Cheap Junk
Complete junk! Cheap plastic that destroys your image quality. Save your money and buy at a camera store.

it leaves a magenta cast color so in photoshop you'll need to correct this problem. otherwise it does the job well at about 2 stops less of light.

Works as advertised
Works great. I marked the sides of the filter to help me align the gradient correctly. I'm not by any stretch a professional photographer, but the filter seems to do what it's advertised to do.

Excellent Lens!
This lens is good construction and the gradient works perfectly. I wanted a Gradient NG lens that didn't cost as much as some of the name brand lenses. It works exactly as designed and takes great photos! I highly recommend for anyone who needs this type of lens.

Perfect for bright outdoor conditions.
This is exactly what I was looking for. It is perfect for taking pictures outdoors when the sky causes the foreground of your picture to become underexposed. It also works for excessive glare off of water sources such as lakes.
