The hitch is just what I thought it would be but I did have one small issue. I ordered this kit so it would be ready to hook right to the truck. I also ordered the Reese Tow and Go step. So when I got the order I went to fasten the step on the hitch but found that Reese did not place the ball on the mount square so the step was not straight as intended. I ended up having to loosen the ball and make it square so the step would mount correctly. It was an easy fix but still a tad frustrating since it was said to be ready from the factory.Now that I have it all mounted up I like both items and think the step will make putting my boat in and out of the water much easier and safer.

I let a friend use my husband's hitch just like it to get to California, so I had to replace it.LolThank you for getting to us quickly. He's not so grumpy now. Haha!

I was drawn to this item because it came with a locking hitch pin and the brand name REESE. A complete package at a great price. A no brainer.

Product was as expected for a ball, mount, pin, and lock combo. FYI...Interlock Ball Mount is a style and requires only one wrench to secure ball to mount. Ball comes mounted, but if you want another size ball for this model, make sure its an interlock ball. Pin and lock work and look great, comes with 2 keys. Description states "mounting storage bag", this is acutally just the hard case the unit ships in. As you can see from the picture, the mount and pin lay in the case. I was expecting an actual bag, which meant I could store the greased up ball and now worry about making a mess...not a big deal though. Overall great deal, about $10 less than at any auto store.

I had an older Reese hitch for several years until someone stole it off my truck a few months ago. I was so upset and was thinking if I bought another one, they would probably take that one too. But then I found this one with a lock and it's perfect! Reese is a great brand, as I have a large Reese 5th wheel hitch in the back of my truck as well. I'm so glad I found this.

Purchased this one as with a vehicle change I needed a model which drops the balls a few inches , instead of raising it. The lock feature was appealing to me.I have towed a few thousand miles with it, since last year. Does what it needs to do in that regard.Quality of the lock seems decent. Not the most secure and the key seems a bit like a joke compared to some more secure key types, it is more akin to a simple bike lock than some more secure locks that don't use a small straight key etc; but functional. I was surprised that rust started to appear on the locking system within two weeks. I also had some trouble removing the lock after the initial two week trip, with added lubricant that seems to be better. But I do now make sure I remove the kit when I know I'm not going to use it within short time.There is no storage bag as listed.Overall, I'd recommend it for the price that I purchased it at here at Amazon. Local retail offerings were no match or lacked the lock.

Very satisfied, these items live up to the usual 5-stars that I normally rate Reese products as. The "plastic tote" is for the garbage, mine arrived broken. No big deal, it's hitch and lock that count!!
