This is a good quality product and I had no issues installing it.

Mine needed to be replaced on a trailer. This was a quick easy replacement.

This product is cheaper than the rest because the colors didnt match up, I didnt mind for my application. Unit was built strong and worked well for my trailer. Recommended for those who can use a test light.

A few of the reviews of this cable criticize it for not being "standard". A few reviews have a wiring legend, and this product listing has one as well (which is completely accurate)! There are a couple "standard" wiring options for 7-way round connectors. This one is wired for the "RV Standard". If your trailer uses this standard, no adjustments will be necessary. If not, you will need to test the wiring to ensure it matches your trailer. But, please don't criticize this cable because it doesn't match YOUR wiring standard, since there isn't only ONE wiring standard. Getting past that issue, this cable is well-made. It appears to be well-sealed against the elements, and I would definitely buy one again if I needed a cable. I DO AGREE with a couple reviews that criticized the quality of the connectors on the end of the cable. Those connectors DO APPEAR to be less than perfect; HOWEVER, they have NOT failed to provide a good connection for me, and I've tested them on three factory installed vehicle receptacles. Bottom line: Use your head and you will be completely satisfied with this cable -- but, if you aren't comfortable with electrical wiring or connections, leave it to someone that is.

There are two main wiring standards for 7-way blade style trailer connectors: Traditional and RV. The ones I received are color coded for RV which seems to be the most common for trailer cords like these. However, most of the trailers I have are wired Traditional.Traditional Standard:Battery=BlackGround=WhiteTail=BrownLeft Turn=YellowRight Turn=GreenBrake=BlueReverse=PurpleRV Standard:Battery=BlackGround=WhiteTail=GreenLeft Turn=RedRight Turn=BrownBrake=BlueReverse=YellowWith replacing 7-way cords on your trailers, you have to verify which one is which. I've converted about half a dozen farm trailers from the old 6-way pole to 7-way blade and all the trailers were wired Traditional and all the new cords were wired RV.

Great cord at a great price. Don't listen to the other reviewers that obviously don't know anything about trailer wiring. All 7 way plugs on any trailer or vehicle are not color to color when you wire them. People need to do research before they tackle a project they no nothing about. This fit perfect and seems very durable. The wire inside the sheathing is very flexible and made it easier to install. I highly recommend this to anyone that needs a molded end trailer plug replaced. 5 stars

Arrived promptly and installed easily. This is a much heavier cord than the OEM cord it replaced—good quality.

The cable is extremely stiff and the material is certainly not useful in any colder areas, like a Yukon where we live
