Great for kids ir anyone who needs a visual timer. Especially anyone with ADHD kids who need more of a visual reminder. We use it for our virtual school learning and how long each subject will be. Works great overall.

Pros:The clock itself is silent which prevents distractions.It does have a silence button to shut off the alarm, if so desired.There is no screw to secure the battery door, if that is a problem for the user.I'm glad to read that it has a year warranty in other reviews.It has a protective cover to prevent bumping the timer.The cover doubles as a stand when opened fully.Cons:There is no screw to secure the batter door, if you have small children who will want to remove the battery.The battery holder just barely holds the battery in place. If the unit is bumped hard or dropped, the battery will easily pop free inside the compartment.The clock is small, which is accurately described in the ad. The size is fine for a small environment, but could be difficult for a larger group to view.The VERY 1st thing two different kids did was turn the knob counterclockwise more than 360 degrees, popping the red translucent circle completely in front of the clock disabling the timing feature. It can be fixed, but it seems a simple design flaw that should have been addresses since it is being marketed in part for kids.Updated: can't be fixed after a few times of being turned more than 360 degrees. I do NOT recommend this.

Great for children who cannot tell time yet. I use this to set time limits for my preschoolers. They understand the visual countdown and the audible beep.

Worked great for a while. Then the little piece of glued on plastic that works as the knob for turning the time came off. Now it's impossible for me to turn the timer to set it because it's a thin piece of plastic sheet and the beginning of it is wound back too far to pull out.

Have alternatives, even smart phones can do the same job, not sure do you really need it

Batter my doesn’t seat well, will be hard for folks with weak fingers to change or even put in a battery. The battery kept popping out, so I had to jam it in there and then braces a piece of plastic between the battery and the door. Function and concept is otherwise brilliant.

The timer looked promising in regards to time management for our preschooler. I was extremely disappointed when we received the *first* one and it didn’t work. Battery in or out - nothing. So, I immediately ordered a replacement thinking this one was just a dud. Nope. Once I received the *second* one, same thing. The dial wouldn’t count down. So, I quickly looked up the site for troubleshooting. Yeah, that was of no help as well.I don’t know if it was the way it was packaged and sent off or if it had anything to do with the package handler (UPS) but having the same item shipped twice and the item not working is rather upsetting considering the inexpensive price of said item.Sometimes the delivery people aren’t the “nicest” to shipped items and just drop them at the doorstep and throw them and walk away. I think if the items ordered are packaged in a manner that will allow for those who can’t stand their job because humans are online shopping, would help with the need of returning defective items.

Very disappointed, the red dial won’t turn or decrease on own, when set, so it’s a complete waste of time... I would prefer a replacement, as my family is traveling, versus resending a broken item while we’re traveling... we have a large version, given as a gift, and my children depend on this at home.... great visual for their unique needs.Now, we’re frustrated, as we’re traveling and with COVID-19, we Can’t easily mail this and hope for a new one...

I didn't think a simple timer can cost so much. This was recommended by a Psychiatrist so I did some research to find the best deal. My son seems to respond really well to a visual count down. This has helped to speed up with him complete his assignments. When I first opened the box and inserted a battery I wasn't even sure if it was even working. But the red countdown dial moved which indicated that it was. When time is up the alarm can be a bit loud not sure if this would be good to use in class.

The kindergarten children in my use this timer to take turns on our class iPads. The red helps them understand, visually how much time is left. This purchase was to replace this same model that stopped working after many, many drops on the floor.

Delivery time was super fast! Quality is okay but given the material used, I find it a bit overpriced. Works as expected and helps a lot with keeping track of time for my kids’ homework and activities. Kids like it too!

This is a great little timer to help visually see how much time is left. It is easy to hold and adjust the new time. Unfortunately, it completely broke after a small tumble to the floor from the table.I suggest the mechanism be made more durable and /or a fortified cover.

This timer has a clear plastic "screen" cover that you can open or shut that protects it well from falls.It is a bit smaller than a pop can. It works really well!
