I have been using the Everpure H-300 Water Filter for the past year and I am extremely impressed with its performance. This is a good quality filter for removing VOCs, but we were disappointed to open the box and find that tubing was missing. Our plumber had to go get some, making the installation a pain.

I've been using the EverPure H-300 filter for three years now, and I am on my fourth filter. I have it mounted under my kitchen sink, where it dispenses from its own faucet. It's a large filter, so I had to make sure the cabinet under the sink was set up properly to accommodate it. Once the system was all set up, it was great. The filter itself is easy to change. I just twist the old one off and twist the new one on. It takes me about five minutes, and that's only because I have to get awkwardly inside my under-sink cabinet.To give you an idea of how long the filter lasts, my family of five uses the filtered water for drinking and cooking, but not for things like washing dishes. Given that amount of usage, each filter has lasted 10-11 months. It comes with a timer to indicate when the filter should be replaced, but I've been ignoring that. I wait until the water pressure starts to get lower, and then I replace it.As far as what it filters out, this is a good choice compared to Brita or other pitcher type filters. As others have mentioned, it does reduce the amount of lead in the water. If you really want to get everything out of your water, you need to get something like a reverse osmosis system. That can be expensive and has its own downsides, so I haven't gone that route.

My EVERPURE H-300 is leaking. It is brand new and purchased from Amazon. It was installed by a licensed plumber. I hope that filter was a lemon. Please send me another one. Thank you

I found that Everpure was the commercial name for Culligan's consumer line.....at a much lower price. Don't know if that is still true. Those who have had trouble should learn that it is not supposed to be a whole house filter, just for a separate drinking water tap, and the supply to the house should have a sediment filter to remove any fine particles for the whole house. That will keep the everpure from plugging too soon, and also keep every faucet screen from plugging with sand.Every skeptic who has said that our county water is just fine without a filter has been given a taste test. I always give them the filtered water first, and they say, "sure, I told you our water is fine." Then I give them the tap water and they make a sour face...hah! Our tap water is pretty good, but the filtered is MUCH cleaner tasting.Get some stainless water bottles, fill them from this filter, and stop wasting money on those ridiculously expensive plastic bottles of alleged pure water. They are supposed to filter 300 gallons, but I use mine for all drinking, cooking, and piped it to the ice maker as well for clean tasting cubes. I only replace the filter when the flow is significantly reduced, and that can take a couple of years.This is an excellent value, and I believe there are no better filters on the market. It takes a little work to make a permanent under sink installation, but once in place you will wonder how you ever did without it.
