Works Just Fine On Linux Systems
Bought this controller as my PS4 controller doesn’t work under Linux without a wired connection and it matches with my other red rgb peripherals. It’s smaller than I expected and has some extra buttons I don’t know how to use yet, but I’m sure I’ll ease into it in time.Pros:-Steam’s Linux client picks this controller up immediately: You don’t need to install any drivers not included in the kernel or anything like that. Steam picks it up automatically once it’s powered on, at least when using the 2.4ghz connection as I haven’t tested it with Bluetooth. I also haven’t tested it with Heroic launcher or Lutris yet, but considering Steam picks it up, Heroic and Lutris will likely pick it up too.-It has Hall effect sticks: This is great as these type of sticks are meant to prevent stick drift, which is present in many controllers (*cough* Nintendo Switch Joycons *cough*) and is not a fun time to deal with once it happens. Ask me how I know.-Extra buttons: Besides the obvious buttons for a standard controller, it has some extra ones that you can map to different things. I don’t know how to do that yet, but I’m sure I’ll find out eventually. Or maybe never since I don’t think I’ll need them.Cons:-It’s smaller than a typical controller: If you’re used to using Xbox or PlayStation controllers, using this is going to feel off for you. This also applies if you have big hands.Neutral:-It has a rechargeable battery: I’m putting this here since this can be seen as a good or bad thing depending on who you are. Some consider this good as it means they don’t have to constantly buy batteries, others consider this bad as it reduces the overall lifespan of the controller (if the battery inside dies, you have to disassemble the controller to replace it or buy a new controller entirely). Just keep this in mind before you buy it if you’re in either camp.Overall for the price you get it for, I find it to be superior to Xbox and PlayStation controllers. I’ll def be buying more of these for a RetroBat living room setup I’m working on. It feels good to use a controller wirelessly again, I’ll say that.

Outstanding Controller for PC and Steam Deck Great Value!
I’ve been using the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Black Myth: Wukong edition controller with both my Windows PC and Steam Deck, and it’s been absolutely fantastic. Right out of the box, it connected effortlessly and has performed flawlessly across a wide range of games. The Hall Effect joysticks and triggers feel smooth and precise, and I really appreciate the wear-resistant metal joystick rings which is a nice touch for long-term durability. The extra L4/R4 bumpers are a great addition, and I love that you can remap them without needing to install extra software. The turbo function is also a nice bonus for certain games. The D-pad and refined bumpers are light but have a satisfying tactile feel, perfect for both action and platformer games. On top of that, the 1000Hz polling rate ensures quick and responsive input with zero lag.The special edition Black Myth: Wukong design looks sharp and feels premium in hand. For the price, this controller offers tremendous value with great performance, smart features, and solid build quality. Highly recommended for gamers on both PC and Steam Deck!

Now 'this' controller is good.
Right off the bat, the packaging was minimal, which I like. It shows me that the company knows where exactly to save money.Even if my hands were kind of big, it still felt comfortable to hold, and I had no trouble reaching the extra two buttons. Hall effect joysticks at this price are an absolute win, and all the buttons feel good. It's got enough heft to it to let you know you got something quality, but light enough to make things easier on the hands. Layout of the instructions aren't great, but that's just me being nitpicky. On my PC, worked flawlessly with the dongle it came with. On my Linux Laptop, it also worked nigh flawlessly, no drivers needed for steam.Even on Lakka OS it worked fine (Lakka is a Linux distro meant for emulation), what I find funny is that it registered as a Mad Catz controller on there- now this doesn't affect the usability of the controller at all, it's just how the OS sees it. The buttons can be remapped without software, too, so that's also a huge plus.Given my needs, I didn't test BT (Bluetooth), but if I do I'll update this. As it stands, this is a very good first impression, and a very good controller overall if you're gonna use the Dongle for PC stuff.

Works Great with SteamDeck!
I wanted a controller that I could simply plug and play without the hassle of pairing or configuring. This controller fits that bill: just plug in the USB-A dongle, and it works out of the box. It also supports Bluetooth if your device does not have a USB-A port, and the battery lasts for several days—charging via a USB-C port. This controller offers great value for the money; however, I do have some complaints. The extra buttons are a bit of a hassle if you want to configure them—they function more as macro buttons that you can program to simulate other functions rather than as additional buttons. Also, when using the USB dongle, there’s no way to determine how much battery life remains. Finally, the controller sometimes sends a ghost signal: the menu button (the equivalent of the Xbox or PlayStation button) is activated even when no buttons are pressed, bringing up the game menu. This could be problematic during a multiplayer game that does not pause when the menu appears.Otherwise, the controller works well, is comfortable to use, and works great with the SteamDeck!
