As an engineer, I have say the app is super well done, from setup to baby monitoring. Setup was really quick, and the video quality is super clear, even at night.The notifications for wake up, sleep, and crying are amazing, and they work really well. Breathing monitor is a nice peace of mind feature. Some advanced features need a subscription, but the price seems worth it, especially comparing to Nanit or Owlet.Customer support was helpful too... overall, highly recommend!

The stand that comes with the camera is easy to instal. The camera is good quality. Sound quality is good quality. The app is designed well. I got a free trial for subscription and breathing rate and sleep analysis seems to work very well.

I was hoping for a product that was slightly less tech-focused for monitoring a grandchild's baby crib, as I am not a heavy user of phone apps. However, this product was not difficult to set up, the instructions are clear and complete, and the app is not difficult to use.This item comes with a video camera unit that fits in the palm of my hand, along with a charging cable, mounting pole, and Velcro ties. The instructions emphasize that the pole with camera should be placed against a wall to avoid it tipping over and positioned 3 ft from the crib mattress with no obstructions to the camera's view of the baby, because mobiles and shadows/lights will affect the breathing monitor. The pole is sufficiently tall enough and adjustable to position it correctly and the top section is flexible to provide the proper angle to capture the crib mattress in the camera lens.There is a QR code in the instruction booklet for Android and iPhone so you don't have to search for the app on your phone. Once downloaded, the InstaBaby app requires that you register using an email address. Then you power on the camera and follow the app instructions to pair the camera with the account. Note that the camera requires a 2.4 GHz WiFi network with a speed of at least 10 Mbps.The app works smoothly and it was easy to set up the camera to work with the app. Once the camera is positioned to capture the crib mattress, there are in-app instructions for how to calibrate to ensure the app accurately captures motion and detects breathing.Basic app features are free, such as live video, two-way audio, and ability to manually enter feeding and diaper changes. For a subscription price (of course!), you can also get the InstaBaby Sleep Insights plan which provides other helpful features such as breathing monitoring, sleep tracking/analysis, cry detection alerts, and sleep alerts.

This camera is fine, and it does provide a clear shot of a crib. If you want to use it for an elderly person, the lens is so small that you will not see the whole bed or the whole room, just half of the bed.The set up on this camera is surprisingly easy. We had it all put together and connected to the Internet within 15 minutes.What we seriously dislike are the constant offers and nudges to try to push you to pay for the AI-enabled services, like monitoring the baby's breathing. We just reread the product description, and at present, nothing states that there are additional fees or subscriptions. We don't even want the extra things, but the advertising should be clear about what the price does and does not include. The current price point on this product is not especially low. It seems to us that you can find a better value with fewer intrusive sales pitches from other companies. Or just use regular home security cameras that you happen to place in a baby's room.

Product arrived on time. First I was shocked to see the big box but then realized it has a stand as well. Very thoughtful of the company tbh. The camera is so cute and fits in your palm.Setting up the camera was a breeze using the Instababy app. The app is very well done. Amazingly simple UI and very intuitive to use.The monitoring features are great and just what parents with young kids need for their peace of mind. This actually could be a great gift for baby showers :) So far I am super happy with the purchase. I hope the camera keeps up to the expectations.

I thought this was going to be so great but it's not very clear. I also hate that it makes you sign up for a subscription to be able to use all the features. Without the subscription there's an ad on top of the video every time you open the app and you can only view the camera none of the other features are available.
