My fourth and largest. I don't use any of the software supplied. Allows me to execute grandfather father son backup albeit I still keep all backups in the same property which is not what you should do. Excellent portability, fast enough and well built. Capacity is sufficient for all my current image, video, audio, and documentation both personal and professional. It is a great way of backing up multiple machines dedicated to different tasks and has replaced a swathe of clunky backup hard drives of varying sizes acquired over 20 years.

Nice compact drive for such a storage monster (6TB). Speedy and quiet, too.

Very large capacity and the price is decent too. I like the design. The only con I can mention is that the port needs to be upgraded to Type-C, microUSB is very outdated. The 6TB version is a little bit thicker than the 4TB one.

small, nifty, good value for money, tested as 101MB/s write and 107MB/s read speeds on usb3.Note - I tested first 1TB only. but I guess with mechanical drives fakery is unheard of as yet..

I've had several of these WD Elements drives now - various sizes - over several years. They've all worked an absolute treat and have never failed on me - super reliable. I transport them around all of the time and they are rugged enough that you can cart them around, throw them into luggage etc. and not have to treat them with kid gloves. Recommended.

Came in adequate time. Unfortunately after formatting it and transferring a heap load of files, it has failed working and cannot seem to retrieve files. Bummer. My other 5TB version has had no problems and have had it for ages.

Quite slow, taking about 2 days of continual use to upload about 4TB of data, but once the initial upload was done it will suffice for the small amount of incremental data I update each day. It might be somewhat tiresome if I ever need to do a full restore of the data, but I shall cross that bridge when I come to it.Of course, the quoted 6TB of data amounts to only about 5.5TB of formatted space, nonetheless this is more than adequate for my immediate needs.
