A lot for the price
As a lifelong knife collector and former knife dealer I look at knives coming out of China with a guarded eye. Ned Foss, however, is offering products out of China that are well made and good value. This is my second Ned Foss product, having previous bought a hatchet by this brand, and I am very satisfied. The knife is full tang and sufficient thickness to make a very strong blade that is shaving sharp out of the box. Blade profile is very reminiscent of a Kabar. Handle slabs and butt cap are held on with screws, and fit and finish are excellent. The Kydex sheath holds the knife securely and once again everything is held together with screws. The small drain hole is also a nice touch as well and I also like the included wipe rag.The price for such a knife is also attractive, making this knife a hard value to beat.

Good knife
It appears to be a good, and nicely fitted knife. I liked this one, so I bought the black one also. I think it is a good value. Knife came acceptable sharp.

Needs an ambidextrous sheath
Great outdoors working and combat ready knife! Just the right size and price. Lefties must improvise with a right hand only sheath as usual.

Excellent Knife, but needs a tweak or two
Very good steel, is sharp out the box with good QC. In the design, the handles are too slim to provide a good grip for all users. They should incorporate a slight mid swell in the halfway part of the handle, if you want to base a knife off the Ka Bar or EK models at least stick with the handle profile. As others said, this isn’t a camp knife but more of a stabber and tactical weapon. An employee of mine bought one and uses it as his boar dagger when hunting, but it’s not to be confused as a chopper.

Well, Built
It was very well put together and the fit and finish is excellent. Slightly heavier than the Ka Bar which is the style of this knife. But that is to be expected because this is actual full tang and nor a rat tail in the handle. theoretically it should be stronger and better for batoning wood. It came extremely sharp out of the box, first impressions are good

Classic design redux, tried and true. Won WWII
If I had to go back to desert storm, this would be the perfect combat/utility blade! A great improvement on a classic Marine’s fighting knife! The blade is just long enough to reach the heart beneath the rib cage, and more than long enough to penetrate the cranial cavity if pushed up from c-1 or c-2 up thru the skull. Over the last 50 years, I have collected and carried many blades, both folding and fixed. This relatively inexpensive knife just nailed every one of my needs for (almost) edc. It’s large but conceals well with a couple of purchased Kydex holster loops. The knife is grip heavy, but only by an inch. I am completely satisfied, and will buy another in case these are discontinued. It’s that good! I would like to have a skull crusher on the pommel to make it perfect. As far as a hunting and camping/survival knife, it’s perfect. With the ability to dig, drill holes, split wood, and be fashioned as a spear. I would have liked to have a lanyard hole towards the pommel.

Good knife, worth buying!
On a budget and looking for a good all around knife? You won't be disappointed with the Ned Foss Brave! Very well built knife. Handle ergos work very well with pretty much any sized hands. Shave sharp right out of the box with with an almost 7 inch blade that can accommodate your utility, bush crafting & tactical needs! The brave is an excellent value that will not disappoint!
