Amazing piece of tech
Been using it for a week now and simply blown away with the performance and battery life.CAD (Fusion), development, local LLMs (Deepseek R1 7B), picture editing (Affinity Photo+Designer), and its as responsive as. Huge improvement vs my Surface Pro 6 i7.I nabbed mine at a great price and couldn't be happier.

Not Windows
This is a very neat piece of kit and a nice toy, but it is not a Windows machine in the customary sense that it will run any of the gazillion applications that have been written for the Windows platform over the last 30 years. If you want to run anything not found in the Microsoft Store, you may be lucky but there is no guarantee. Unless your printer is pretty new there won't be a driver for it. And so on. The problem is that the hype on the Microsoft website does not make any of this clear. If you've owned a Surface before you may easily be deceived into thinking it's just the newest and best of the type. Be warned, it ain't.

Disappointed
A lot of hyperbole has gone into the sales for this. I bought the very top spec model for graphics & illustration work. It's glitchy, not nearly as fast as it should be (my paintbrushes lag in gimp!) & I'm recharging twice a day with heavy use so I think the battery time has been somewhat exaggerated too.For the money I spent I'm very disappointed with the performance. I'm just hoping things might improve significantly with successive upgrades in near future. Fortunately I do most of my drawing the old fashioned way so I can live without the convenience of a tablet to hand but I shouldn't have to struggle with a machine I shelled out a considerable pile for. Shop carefully.

Not a pro - home edition
Advertised as a Pro but this is a home edition machine. Not impressed.
