This assembly is great, I accidentally had it hooked around my truck, and it didn’t rip apart or break When I drove away from the trailer. It severed at the connections I had made, which made it really easy to reinstall, and is a testament to its overall quality.

It is a nice design, it will connect very easy, hardly any force to slide it in to the socket, the wires are very easy to manipulate to do the splicing. the firs time after i connect it to my truck i felt like if it was loose, but what a surprise, it was fully inserted, seems like if it was design to go in very easy. thank you, I just had to replace a few blown fuses in my truck's side (problem caused by my old connector) and everything was working great, the way it suppose to. I would recommend this Item.

Good cable to connect to truck

Beware this assembly may not be wired to standard trailer wire color code! I purchased this so I could have spliceless wiring for my trailer. But after instillation according to standard wire code when I plugged it into my truck it wiped out all my taillights on the truck. After several days and a couple hundred dollars in parts I traced it to the molded on plug not wired according to standard code. Wound up costing off plug and installing replacement plug which negated the whole reason for purchasing it!

Very good. Seems to be tough

The cord and plug seemed very heavy duty. It worked perfectly for upgrading my trailer wiring so I could add a set of reverse lights. (Preexisting wiring was on 6-wire.) I just returned home from a 2400+ mile long roadtrip pulling this trailer and didn't have any issues with the wiring or lighting. Highly recommended!!!

Didn't come with a wiring diagram and didn't follow standard trailer wire color code. Nothing worse than finishing the job according to standard wiring practices only to find out you have to rewire the project.All the correct colors were there for a 7-pin round plug, but their functions were jumbled.I gave 2 stars because the quality seems good, but I was NOT pleased to re-wire the junction box after solving the mystery color puzzle.

I bought this after reading other reviews, so i knew that the color coding on the wire was wrong. i have wired a lot of trailers so i knew that that was not a problem for me. what i didn't know is the plug itself is also junk. the plug only gets intermittent connection with the my truck's and motorhome's plug. so now i have had to cut the plug off and install a new one with the wrong color coding. thank you china.
