Did the job
The only reason I gave 4 stars is because everytime the wind blew they fell! But other than that for the price it served its purpose! I eventually tied the poles to the back drop stand that also kept falling! In the end everything turned out beautiful with a few tricks

Not worth the money
Cheap plastic post with rubber bases. The ropes were terrible... Order for a event last minute and couldn't even use them...

Velvet rope
It broke while putting it together. Rope was thinner than I expected. I was still able to make it work for the purpose I bought it for.

Dirty and low quality
The velvet ropes shape were awful. They were all curled up.The base were all dirty and stained. Couldn’t even wipe them because they were poorly painted. Not sturdy. I could not use it for my event

Adequate Stanchions
The Alytree 4 Pack Stanchions Posts with Red Velvet Rope is a decent set of stanchions. The bases are compact but quite heavy, with a textured black surface. They are the best part of these stanchions frankly. The posts themselves are not tubular but are actually rectangular and made of black plastic. The posts fit well into the bases, but note that they don't lock in place at all, so if you try to lift them by the post, the bases won't go with them. The velvet ropes are a very bright red and the ends are silver colored clasps. If you are going for the classic deep red velvet rope with brass clasps, this is not it.I got these to rope off an "off limits" area at our house for when we throw parties, so these do the trick. However, if you are looking for stanchions that you'll be moving throughout your event (like to rope off a queue), these may cause you some frustration.

The product came with wrong parts and would not replace making any use impossible
A $2,700 order for security stabchions for charity event are useless and now we are stuck because of a two inch missing part

Heavy bases, easy to assemble BUT not traditional looking stanchions
Pluses: The bases are heavy and don't need to be filled with water or sand to be stable.Easy to assemble and disassemble.Minuses: The upright part of most stanchions are typically round not square as these are. These will stand out if you already have round ones.The base has rough surface - would have been better looking if the base was matte or smooth finish.Knocked off 1 star due to square shape and rough finish of base.
