I've been using this light for portraits/weddings and love the results. This strobe consistently fires from a good distance and with control on the QPRO-N TTL trigger, it's a very flexible package. I have only had one or two misfires over hundreds of shots. Color consistency is solid. The battery lasts for multiple shoots. I have a couple of commercial shoots coming up that we'll need grids, snoots, etc. and I'm looking forward to using this light. I highly recommend this strobe for portraits, weddings, and any other project requiring a good light with portability, flexibility, and off-camera sweetness...

I have worked with several portable flashes throughout years of working as a professional photographer and when I got this flash I for sure am amazed at its versatility, portability, power, and compatibility. It has never been this easy in the past to have such powerful flash to take outdoor. Definitely recommend this flash for outdoor photographers. I loved this flash so much that I bought the power adapter for indoor use. Saying that I wish the power adapter was including with the package since it has a hefty price. Saying that the price is so low for the whole setup that it is totally fair in my opinion.This flash used Bowen attachment which makes it great for all of us who own beauty dishes and other Bowen attachments .

I had a defective unit, so this is an updated review. Customer support actually reached out to me and went above and beyond to make the situation right! Thank you 1000x!I have the new flash and ran it through its paces. Heres my takeaway.Portability is amazing! the case and ease to take it is great. Everything has its slot in the bag and its nice and tucked away. The flash itself synced right away, flash works exactly as it should. For the price and size this is exactly what I needed.Con: The only con I would say so far is the balancing on a standard tripod. With it being a rectangle box, and a softbox, it tends to really throw the weight forward. Almost to the point I get nervous of it tipping over. Its not the end of the world, but something I keep in mind whenever I use it. If this were outdoors and there was wind. If you have it higher up, theres a good chance it would tip due to the center of gravity.

These units are powerful, and highly compatible with HSS and TTF modes when you get the trigger that matches your camera. The instruments are very innovative and practical.The case is a bit clumsy. The flat suitcase requires you to completely dismantle the strobes before packing. That might be excessive wear on the xenon tube contacts, as time goes on. If you're actually going on location a lot, you might want to engineer your own travel cases

This strobe works great and has incredible power. I use it for posed sports shots. I have used it on several shoots paired with a couple Q3's and am very happy. I am going to pick up another one before my next shoot.

I been a photographer for 12 Years and this is one of the best on the go lights I've ever used. Build quality Is great and the battery life is amazing. I own two.

I'll start by saying this is a pretty good light. It is also more than double the cost of the other Neewer 400ws strobe (s102-400). You do get a lot for the price though. 9 stops of intensity in .1 stop increments. Starting at 1/16 power a t.1 time of 1/3000 that gets higher as power decreases. You can plug into an outlet and charge the battery while using the strobe. The 2nd one I bought easily paired to the qpro trigger that came with the 1st one I bought.The handle that attaches to it so the Q4 can be mounted on a light stand could be improved. The angle adjustment does not allow for a full range like other lights. It only allows for about 20 preset angles where the handle will lock into place when it is tightened. Also the Q4 does not fit into the carry/storage case with the handle attached, so you are constantly installing and removing the handle. Which will probably cause premature wear and failure on the threads of the handle and the Q4 itself. It was nice of them to leave an empty slot in the carry/storage case. So if you buy an extra battery there will be room in the case.Also the sync port won't work with any wireless triggers. It only seems to work with direct cable triggers. You have to have a Qpro to wirelessly trigger the Q4.
