Direct replacement and worked perfect
Im so glad that I found these. The original one was old and of course broke. so the door would just fall down. These were less expensive and just as good. The great thing is they came as a pair. so you have a spare. Looking at the old one, I could see no difference in quality. Snag these and you can replace the door that won't stay shut

Fixed my trashcan
I have a small trashcan obtained from Amazon which has one of these as the closure. The catch quit working but the trashcan was fine. Found these for much less money than the trashcan. Worked perfectly!
