Q: Does the polypropylene part come in contact with the hot water?

There are only two apparent parts made from different materials. The cardboard-ish part attached to the fabric, and the fabric itself. It is unclear whether either part contains any polypropylene from the product description. Polypropylene, however, does not easily dissolve in water at any temperature used in coffee brewing. Most commercial PP on the market today used in the manufacture of consumer goods does not start to dissolve until around 160 Celsius, and may require solvents in order to do so.
