Very pleased with this purchase. I needed new linings for some bedroom curtains and these do the job admirably. Curtain hooks were supplied but I have supplemented them with some I already had as I like plenty of hooks to help curtains hang better. Blackout quality seems good too. Instructions say the linings can be ironed with a cool iron. I am not a huge fan of ironing so put them up as they were and went outside to see how they looked. I couldn’t see the creases so that is a job saved.

I must admit I wasn't expecting too much from these curtain linings, but I was surprised by the difference they make yes they do help the black out aspect but it's the improvement in sound deadening and sun reflection aspect that has been excellent a few degrees cooler in the latest hot weather. They were very easy to fit as others have said be careful to not fit through the strings use the free hook spaces in between the hooks you have in place to fit to the curtain rod. As they are a couple of inches shorter than curtain sizes they don't hang below the curtains. They do come with curtain hooks ( it may be helpful to have a few extra hooks for wider curtains) Good value for money would definitely recommend

I used these blackout linings for my bedrooms curtains. The older I get, the worse my sleep is, and along with earplugs, I have now resorted to blackout linings in an effort to see if its the light coming through my window early in the morning that is waking me.They are quite easy to hang. Just hook onto the existing curtain tape where the normal hooks sit. No sewing involved. I don't think having the room any darker gave me longer/uninterrupted sleep, but it did create a good environment to get back to sleep when I did wake up. And no annoying street lights shining in the window was a major plus point. Settling down for the night in a really dark room is very relaxing.When daylight arrived, there was not 100% darkness. I went to sleep in a totally dark room and woke up to a very dim /grey looking room which was certainly a massive improvement than having the light streaming through.When you close the curtains at night, be sure to make sure there are no gaps where the light can shine through. The only part that lets it down is the very top where the curtains are hung. But this is not the fault of the blackout curtain. By raising my curtains a couple of inches higher up, it would solve this problem. I'm thinking of buying a blackout blind to see If I can solve the issue that way, but it's really a very minor issue.Would I buy them again? Absolutely (I did for my son's room). Oh and by the way, I found its not essential to ge them the fulll length of your curtains. Obviously you must with the width, but depending where you window ledge sits, you can get away with a shorter length (as long as they sit longer than the windowsill).

Very fiddly to put up but excellent blackout blinds, make a huge difference!

The curtains are extremely effective at blocking out the light - I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately there was a manufacturing mistake on one of my two curtains, resulting in there being no "hoops" in which to insert the hooks on one of the pair. Hence I returned the item.The first photo I've attached show the "correct" curtain - with strings AND hooks - while the second photo shows the other curtain, with the missing hoops between the strings.

The difference between watching TV with curtains reflected on the screen, and just watching the programme we want to see.It only took 15 mins to attach the linings with hooks provided, Jobsagoodun!

I bought some of these for my room as sun was shining in the early summer morning like a laser beam waking me up at 5am in mid-summer UK, though thin curtains. They've worked great to block the sun from the east-facing window. I also bought some for another room, though that has taller windows and unfortunately the available sizes are either a bit too short or way too long. Regarding sizing - as the advert states you will get 2 curtains of the full measured size, which might be 'more' than you're wanting. Probably all works out fine when ruched up, though you may be able to do with a smaller blockout curtain - perhaps 2/3 the size (1/2 could leave a gap for sunlight).

Really nice item. I was hesitant to purchase after some people said there was a funny smell coming from them; there isn't any smell in my opinion. Lovely fabric but you need to have some small plastic hooks for them if you are planning on using for pencil pleat curtians as the ones provided are for eyelet. Our house gets very cold as single glazed and old, and these instantly made the room feel warmer. I cannot feel the draught like before. Worth the money for us.
