Best floss out there.
This is my favourite floss, and my partner has learned (slowly) to appreciate its virtues.Firstly: yes, it's thick. If you have very tight interdental junctions (we both do), it's going to feel a bit like you're trying to shove a rope in between your teeth for the first couple times until you get the hang of it. It's also very "thready", so if you have any permanent dental hardware, this may not be the best product for you as it would snag like mad.The advantage of its net-like tubular structure is that you can untwirl it slightly so that it flattens laterally; this makes it easier to slip between your teeth. Then you twirl it back into a thicker shape and gently polish around your teeth. The texture means that this floss is the best I've ever tried at getting at plaque and bits of food. I used to prefer the slippy feel of plastic floss but, frankly, it's good for only getting out big bits of food--and useless for plaque.Give it a try, because it really is great once you get over the learning curve. One star off because you get very little floss and go through it quite quickly. I would like to see this in a 100m version (it could fit in the holder easily!) so that it wasn't as wasteful and wasn't as much of a hassle to constantly replace. Also, no star off for this, but I love the cardamom flavour you get when you first open a new pack. It's gone within a day, sadly. Wish that could linger, but I presume such is the nature of natural products.

Definately better than most
I don't understand the reviews that can't tell the difference between this and other dental flosses. Most other dental floss I have tried is in the style of a thin smooth tape, useful only for the tightest gaps which require simple dislodging of any debris. They are often non-porous and lack the friction and absorbency of this floss, which make them useless at removing any rogue plaque deposits. This floss is also better at handling larger tooth gaps and leaving a more polished tooth surface for the same reasons. The texture also makes it more comfortable to use. Perhaps other people have minimal requirements from their floss. This floss is definately better than most regardless. You do get used to the flavour, but I find I can taste cardamon to the last strand. Compare what a plain string would taste like and then you know. The stock availability is bad for this product. Regularly have to purchase from iHerb if not available direct from Amazon and still want at <£4 each.

New Packaging, Old Tricks - A Disappointing Downgrade
I have been a loyal user of Dr. Tungs floss for years, seduced by its excellent performance and the brand's supposed commitment to a greener, healthier world. However, the latest packaging change has left me seriously questioning the authenticity of those commitments and the quality of the product I once trusted. The switch from the robust plastic floss dispenser to a piece of cardboard that disintegrates over time is more than just a downgrade—it's a disappointment. The new dispenser is an exercise in frustration, with the floss snagging frequently, turning what should be a quick and easy hygiene task into a tedious chore. The cardboard gets soggy quickly, and the wear and tear accelerate, making the entire flossing experience inefficient and irritating. The company frames this change as an environmentally conscious decision. On the surface, it appears noble - a company taking a stand against plastic pollution. But when you dig a little deeper, it's evident that this is a thinly veiled attempt at increasing profits under the guise of environmentalism. If Dr. Tungs was indeed serious about reducing waste and promoting sustainability, they would have introduced a more practical solution, such as selling refills for their plastic dispenser. This way, we could retain the convenience and usability of the original dispenser and drastically cut down on the plastic consumption. The new cardboard packaging is only usable if you already own a plastic dispenser, making the whole "eco-friendly" narrative a bit of a joke.Instead of providing a more affordable, sustainable alternative, Dr. Tungs is trying to pass off an inferior product for the same price. The quality of the floss remains decent, but the overall user experience has dramatically declined, making it a poor value for the money. It's disheartening to see a brand I once respected resort to such tactics. I hope Dr. Tungs seriously reconsiders their new packaging approach and returns to delivering the quality we've come to expect. Until then, I'll be looking for alternatives that genuinely balance quality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

Thick but gentle
I have flossed my teeth for as long as I can remember, but these flagged up on my recommended items one day and I've bought them ever since.Yes they are a little more expensive that normal floss, but there is a reason why. I don't think you need as much as the floss is so thick so you don't have to keep going over the same area. A quick sweep to either side is enough for each tooth. It's perfectly normal for your gums to bleed for a short while after starting to use this, as it's quite thick it may push the gum around a bit more than normal floss, but that's good.As other reviewers say, it's thick but stretchy, able to mould to the smallest gap and remove the tiniest of plaque. The dentist says my teeth are amazing since starting to use this and I need cleaning only one a year. Very good product.

So So
Not sure about this. Cardamom flavour quite strong and pieces got stuck between my teeth. Will finish the roll and maybe change my mind but for now probably won’t purchase again for the price.

Very reliable shop with genuine products. Will definitely buy again!
Wrap 45cm of floss around fingers & draw tight. Tug & release. It expands! Slide floss between teeth, curve it around tooth and clean between tooth and gum with gentle up and down motion. Repeat using a clean section between each tooth. Also works with braces and wide spaces.
