Wow! What a Kit!
Purchased this as I wanted to dabble in some electronics. What you get in the kit is simply outstanding for the price. The software and the instruction sheets are also really good and easy to use/follow.The only slight negative for me was I didn’t feel that the explanation of how the C++ programming works and proper explanation of each separate part of the coding. Maybe it’s just me being an absolute novice!Having said that when you actually get the kit to do what you have wired up and programmed it is very satisfying!Great Kit, Great Price, Great All Round.

Very good English instructions
The kit is very comprehensive for the money and well packaged and laid out. It would be a super gift for anyone with an interest in electronics or an enquiring mind. The instruction manual (162 pages) can be found on the CD or downloaded from the Elegoo site. I was expecting a basic "Chinese English" manual BUT not so. The manual is in good English and even has the odd bit of humour. I would say that it is written so a young person 10-12+ could read and understand mostly without parental help. For an oldie like me I was really surprised however easy it was to follow. I have only tried a couple of the projects but had no issues so far. So don't be put off by the low price or concerned about difficultly. Who knows it could just spark the next Steve Jobs or Musk!

So far so good
"Device not detected in device manager Windows 11."Ahh good start! I had the above problem from the beginning! Problem was the way they tell you to install the USB drivers is outdated as this is all done by the installation software now. Took me 30 minutes to realise the device was installed & showed up under Ports in device manager.I'll update this review as I go.

Ideal for learning programming
I wanted to learn programming in "C" I found this an ideal kit for this with all the accessories needed without having to shop for more items and components. Not a bad price either.

Well documented
This is well documented, with working code tutorials and good quality components - the PCBs are solid, and good connections etc.I’m teaching my 8yr old with it, and we’re having fun. It’s amazing what you get at this price compared to my childhood.

Great package to provide a huge amount of entetainment and learning
Rarely do i review a product but i think this deserves one. For under £30.00 this is a great bit of kit. I bought it for my 11 year old daughter who is fairly bright, to give her an insight into coding, computers and electronics. As someone with basic knowledge myself, an ideal thing for both of us to work through together. The principle of the arduino board and kit is that you can write a basic program that "does physical stuff".Rather than doing code on a computer, that runs on a computer and outputs on a computer, writing code on the arduino can turn led lights on and off, motors, sensors etc. Its basic but can be built up to being complicated. With attention spans being short with children, within 20 minutes of opening the box, you should have your first program of blinking an led light on and off by your own code. There is an awful lot of kit in the box and we are trying to work our way through properly and are still on coding led lights, but there are led displays, motors, heat and distance sensors etc etc. and a 164 page manual and all the code done for you if required. However you won't learn that well copy and pasting code, so to get the most out of it, treat it a a learning project and either buy a book or like us, follow a youtube course, there are a lot out there but we are doing some bloke called paul mcwhorter who starts from scratch and builds up through each lesson with about 28 videos. I'm not saying his are the best, but it suits me and my daughter, and its free.As Paul says in his first video, if you can turn an led light on and off, you can do a sensor, a motor, so with those three you could build a basic robot or a weather station or whatever your ideas take. Once we have finished working through Pauls videos, we will then work through the pdf file of all the ones Elegoo provide that use all the products included in the box.So to conclude, the elegoo box has in it almost everything you could want to get you going, it should provide hundreds of hours of fun and frustration and learning to get your projects working for under £30.00. Huge amounts of support are available free online and its relatively simple to get started with some basic computer knowledge and basic practical skills. highly recommended.
