It's heavy, but it's also a rockstar
I love this thing. It's plenty strong enough to provide excellent power for a variety of devices. Too many of these sorts of things are underpowered on the USB outputs, or lack surge protection. This guy puts out max power - 67W on a single USB-C, which is outstanding, 12W on a single USB-A, which is also outstanding, and allocates very intelligently when multiple things are plugged in. Add in 3 full-strength 120V outlets on the back, plus Anker's reputation for high-quality products, and this is a five-star product for sure. They've even kindly used a right-angle wall plug so that it can fit flush. The product talks about surge protection but you have to dig a bit to find that it's 300J, which is minimal, but that's ok, the risk is low and I don't have real expensive stuff plugged into it. Just remember that you're always going to get the most power out of a AC block on the back, so if you can, utilize those before doubling-up on USB ports on the front.Note that this is a heavy item. Over one pound, with a long cable. I find it perfect for my desk, and perfect for traveling, but it is a bummer to allocate more than a pound of expensive checked luggage space to this extension. I still travel with it, however, because we've all found ourselves in hotel rooms where the outlets are inconvenient, and in those cases, I'm glad to have it.My first purchase of the Anker 525 came defective less than a year after purchase. USB power output on the front stopped working. It sounds like this was a known issue. Anker happily shipped me a new one for free, and it is powering onward just fine.

The Power Strip That Sparks Joy - Functional and Minimal
When it comes to charging solutions, most power strips feel like a reluctant marriage of function and clunky design, but not the Anker 525 Charging Station. This 7-in-1 USB-C Power Strip is the Swiss Army knife of charging hubs—effortlessly versatile, surprisingly stylish, and oddly comforting to touch. Yes, you read that right. Let me explain why this power strip has transformed my desk setup—and my odd tactile habits.First, let’s talk about the utility. The Anker 525 brings together modernity and legacy in one tidy package. With two USB-C ports capable of fast-charging up to 60W (think MacBook Air, iPad Pro) and two USB-A ports for older, stubborn devices that just won’t retire, this strip has everything you need. No more playing favorites with your devices or deciding which one deserves to be charged first. But the real MVP move? The three standard power outlets on the back. This makes the Anker 525 not just a charging station but a full-blown power management system. It eliminates the need for those outdated, bulky power strips that look like they were pulled from the set of an ‘80s sci-fi movie. Now, I can charge my laptop, plug in my desk lamp, and run my monitor—all without resorting to daisy-chaining extension cords and praying I don’t blow a fuse. Then there’s the design. The soft-touch exterior is like the “velvet tracksuit” of power strips—it shouldn’t work, but it does. It’s matte, smooth, and doesn’t smudge easily, making it as visually appealing as it is functional. Honestly, it’s so pleasant to touch that it doubles as a makeshift emotional support device. One unexpeced bonus. I’m allergic to cats, but sometimes I catch myself absentmindedly petting this power strip like it’s a stand-in for a fluffy feline. I’m not saying Anker designed this for tactile therapy, but I’m also not saying they didn’t. My productivity has never been better, and my allergies have never been less triggered. The materials are premium as is typical of Anker. No wobbly buttons or flimsy plugs here—just solid engineering that screams reliability. The compact design fits seamlessly into any space, whether you’re working at a minimalist desk or trying to charge half a dozen gadgets on a hotel nightstand. Note: If you're using it for travel, it does have a non-removeable power cord that his fairly hefty.Final Verdict: This is aThe Anker 525 Charging Station isn’t just a power strip; it’s a lifestyle upgrade. It declutters your space, modernizes your charging game, and, in a pinch, serves as an allergen-free surrogate pet. The combination of USB-C convenience, backward compatibility with USB-A, and the flexibility of three standard outlets makes it a must-have for anyone tired of messy setups.

Worked Great for Three Months, Then Stopped! But Anker Replaced the Unit
I have purchased two of these chargers. The first one, which I purchased a few years ago, works fine. My newer one, which I purchased in February 2025, stopped charging in May 2025 in all of the ports. My devices, IPhone, IPads and Apple Watch, show the charging symbol but they don’t charge. When I utilize the same cord with a different charger, they charge fine so it’s not my device or my cords. I’m disappointed with the quality of the product. That being said, the reviews are overwhelmingly positive so I may give Anker another chance.Addendum: As a result of my review above, Anker Customer Service reached out to me and provided me with a replacement unit. I was thoroughly impressed with their service and followup. I changed my review from one star to four stars based on the customer service..

Rock solid charging station
Anker is my go-to brand. Love them. This charging station is no exception to the rule. It's cleanly designed and has the perfect weight to sit on your desk and not slide off or move around. having full size A/C ports on the back of it is a really nice design and helps with cable management. Overall a solid buy.
