Kittens won't eat it but the feral cats love it. Too expensive for that but it was worth a try - good ingredients and nutritious for the wee ones.

I just recently got my little kitten Mango about 2 months ago. His foster mom had given me a little bag of food to ween him onto whatever other kitten food I’d give him. Thankfully I got this bag first. So I weened him onto this food with little to no issues!Unfortunately, once the bag was running low, we decided to see if we could try a brand that we found in a store that seemed to be a very high quality brand based on reviews! So we started weening him on to this new food and got no further than adding a tablespoon of that new food to his bowl. He liked it but it gave him uncontrollable stools. The first day we tried getting him onto the new food we had poop ALL OVER!! I’m talking the floors, the book shelf, the hamper, EVEN THE LAPTOPS! After the 4th day of things getting no better with just this small addition of food I decided my kittens booty has had enough and so have I with all this cleaning.I started just feeding him this food again today and thankfully that fixed his poops right up! He loves this food so much too, I get a bright and early 8 am wake up call to remind me to feed him. He loves this food and even when I give him wet food he does this adorable thing where he bites the wet food, bites the dry food, and eats it that way. I may consider mixing them for him at some point, but I think he likes his little system haha.All in all I think this brand is great and the quality and fantastic as well. Of course all kittens are different, but this one is MANGO APPROVED!

I got my cat at the local animal rescue, she's a tuxedo and was about 4 months old. she had sores in various places, and her chest was almost bear as the hair fell out in clumps. They told me it was "hot spots," and she really never did stop scratching.I really did my homework on finding the healthiest food for this little guy. Instinct turned out to come on top, hands down. "Annie" is now a healthy cat, with a beautiful coat of hair, and no scratching! I've used other foods, and she begins to go back again to that unhealthy look, so of course, I switch back. I didn't realize kittens have to have that high protein, among other ingredients, to have a healthy life, I can't recommend this product to you enough, well worth the money.

I just started my kitten on this, did the subscription, first month was great she absolutely loves this stuff and comes running when I fill the bowl. This month, the kibbles are different. Flatter and larger, but the bags are identical. Looks like adult sized kibble. The only difference I could see was the first bag had an expiration date of 4/2021 and this new bag had an expiration date of 4/2022? Was looking through the reviews and saw someone also posted they got different kibbles a few months ago too, so I don’t know what’s going on here but will have to monitor for next months batch. It does smell the same! Gross fishy smell but that’s probably why she loves it so much.*****UPDATE just found this note from instinct about the issue: The kibble size can vary from batch to batch, and even within the same batch. The operators are constantly needing to adjust the machinery to try and keep a consistent size during a production run. We try our best to get maintain a consistent size, however, if the kibble falls within the allowed range, it will still be acceptable. Sometimes it may fall on the large end or the small end of the spectrum.So I’m changing rating back to 5 stars. I do wish they’d keep them smaller for little kitten mouths though!
