OBSESSED with these devices

I might have a problem: I have 30 of these things powering various lamps, speakers, and neon lights scattered throughout my home. They integrated seamlessly with my Alexa devices, so all o have to do is tell Alexa to turn on X device and—presto! No getting up. No searching for switches. No reaching awkwardly behind furniture. All my guests are super impressed and I feel like I’m living in a promised future of convenience. Get the four packs to save $$.

Very good plugs

These kasa plugs are easy to use. Just plug and play. The size allows the second wall plug to remain usable. Easy to control and turn on and off in the app or in Alexa. Good quality. No electrical noise or hum. Recommend, especially when on sale.

Smart Mini Plugs

Pros• Easy setup• Quick to connect to WiFi and respond• Small footprint• Status reports• Schedules• Phone app support• Microsoft Windows Store app supportCons• NoneI use Kasa surge protectors and now have bought these single smart plugs. These work just as good as the surge protectors. The plugs connect quickly to WiFi when plugged into power and maintain a solid WiFi connection. The plugs respond quickly respond to phone app controls. Within the app you can pull reports of runtime, power usage, etc. You can set schedules or timers on the plugs as well. Very very handy plugs and I definitely recommend.

handy. would be better with button on either side

these work well on wifi but if youd like to turn on a switch thats plugged in, the button might not be accessible on the side that is facing the user depending on its orientation in the wall socket. also these smart switches and those made by others do not take into account how they block access to remaining wall plugs or if theyre attached to a power strip. somebody might figure out a way to put an extender on the plug to raise it away from the wallplate so another item can plug in next to it

They just work

Very responsive and easy to set up. Just make sure that when you set these up on your phone that your phone is using the 2.4 ghz band to connect to your wifi.

Reliable

I've used so many different smart plugs over the years. Most I got rid of because I didn't like having so many different apps for things that didn't work with smartlife. The Kasa app was one I didn't mind having, since I rarely use the app, and everything is voice controlled via Alexa.Easy to set up, and probably the most reliable ones I've found. And I like that they persist the state they were in if you lose power. Some, if you lose power while they're on, when power is restored will stay off. Not these.

Great for scheduling

Bought these to try them out thinking I wouldn't need all four, but I always find an application for them. Very useful and I mainly schedule them to turn on and off at a specific time. Great for using during Christmas too.

Homekit - but do not need to use

Pretty straight forward to setup but insisted on using HomeKit, which I have zero interest in. Despite what others stated here, I simply selected the correct type in the Kasa app (HomeKit Smart Plug) but then I opted to use Bluetooth to setup. That idea didn't invoke HomeKit. If you select Smart Plug Lite/Mini within the app, you end up in some endless loop and can't get out of the app insisting on using HomeKit. Of course if you want HomeKit then this isn't an issue.I have a use iPhones but dont want anything like Alexa or Siri or HomeKit in my life. Just a nice smart plug I can setup a schedule to use as well as an app to change the schedule or turn it on/off manually - which this all does.I changed from the KP115 to the EP25 since the KP115 seems dated and harder to find now and some bad reviews and warnings online. In size and style the KP115 and EP25 appear 100% identical. You can use 2 of them in one house outlet w/o any issues. If you need slimmer yet for some reason then consider the EP10.The power and energy stats that come with the EP25 are pretty cool but meh. I dont really care how much power draw there is for something like a xmas tree...
