I have a monthly pass to a car wash here in my town, and I actually go at least 3 times a week. Although you don't have too, I would always remove my antenna before going through. I got tired of always doing that so I started looking for an alternative. Low and behold I found this Antenna from 'The Antenna Source'. I received it yesterday and in just 1 DAY. I immediately put it on my truck, it took maybe 3 minutes tops. I was alittle worried that since it was shorter that it would not have as good of reception as the standard one that came with my truck. Turns out I had NOTHING to worry about. This beast is amazing, I even think I get better reception now. A big plus is that it looks sleek, check out my attached photo. Never have to remove it again before going through the car wash. Thanks Zach for making such a great product.

Purchased this for a 2016 Toyota Tundra, thinking that the "flexible" antenna would survive my local car wash. It did not survive. HD signal acquisition is not great albeit I don't listen to radio much. I believe this broke because it is not a solid piece, there are a couple pieces you have to screw together to fit your vehicle. I have since gone with the Ronin Factory bullet antenna and am very pleased. The Ronin bullet picked up the HD sign as fast or faster than the OEM and left me feeling the purchase of this AntennaMastsRus - 13" All-Terrain Flexible Rubber Antenna was a waste of money, JMO.

I bought one of these antennas about a month ago. I bought it after reading the answers to the question about can the antenna go through a car wash. From those answers, I thought this would be a good replacement for the full length antenna that came with my brand new F-150.Sure enough, the antenna made it through its first car wash with no issues. However, after the second wash, today, I noticed it was no longer attached to my truck. In fact, I had to have one of the attendants go into the wash tunnel to retrieve what was left of the antenna for me. It was bent in several directions. So much for what I thought was "flexable stainless steel." All that was still attached to my truck was the antenna's base; and, it had a big gash in it where the antenna had been ripped from the base. (See the attached picture.)Unfortunately for me, there are several signs, prominently displayed, all around the car wash saying that they, "... are NOT responsible for any items on the exterior of a vehicle that get broken or damaged while going through the wash tunnel."So, tonight, I returned to the Amazon order I'd placed and decided to write a review; especially after re-reading the answers to the question regarding how sturdy the antenna was going through a car wash.In my case, at least, "sturdy" is not the operative word for the antenna when going through a car wash.I give it 2 stars. It did arrive in a timely manner and it did look good in my truck, for what little time it was attached.

After reading multiple reviews about all of the various Antennas I decided to give this one a shot. I was skeptical due to all the negative reception quality of various other antennas, but it really came down to I have spent $25 in worse ways whats to loose. I live 30 miles north of a major city and typically I do not have issues with reception however there is one AM radio station I like to listen to that I am on the boarder of. If the stock antenna was rated at a 10/10 then I would definitely put this one at a 9/10. The FM stations I listen to I did not notice any loss in quality, and the AM station there was a little loss however I didn't even notice the difference after listening to it after 5 minutes or so, or once I stopped paying attention to the quality. Installation was a breeze.

I purchased this antenna to replace my stock 2015 F-150 antenna because it would catch and drag on my garage door. This is a very nice antenna and I have not been able to tell any difference in reception (If I do later, I'll update this review).The antenna is all black with a taper from the base up to the top. The antenna has female threads but comes with a threaded adapter stud. Initially I did not want any adapters but this threaded stud screws into the antenna in such a way that it does not act as a spacer or is visible from the outside. I used blue Loc-tite to secure the stud to the antenna. I keep an open-end wrench in my glove box so I can remove it if I go through a car wash. The antenna shipped safely in sturdy cardboard tube.Note: I first tried one of those carbon fiber looking stubby antennas from my locally auto parts store and it howled when driving above 60 mph.

The good is there is no wind noise. The bad is it doesn't pick up signals more than maybe 25 miles. I live in a rural area so I need better reception. I will say that this is the third shorter than the factory antenna that I have purchased. None of them work with my truck. I had purchased the chrome 12 inch for my 2016 F150 XLT, and it worked just like the factory antenna. Also, one of the antennas I purchased for this truck works on my husband's 2015 F150 Platinum.As the antennas I purchased from this vendor worked on our other, older trucks, I have to conclude that it may be something different about my 2017.

The 6.75-inch antenna looks great and is absurdly easy to install. For my F-150, though, the reception degradation on AM channels is severe. I live in the greater Puget Sound region, not too far away from major urban centers, and normally "strong" signals are now peppered with a constant hissing/crackling background. I'll be returning this and trying something else.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  LOVE IT, I choose the 13" flexible (the other smaller sizes look funny to me because truck is huge in comparison). Personally believe it's the best one to go with for a 2017 F-150.
