Great SSD and at a good price
WD Black are known as manufacturing good quality SSDs and this is true here and it is at a good price too.The 2TB version of the SN770 I bought has performed flawlessly so far and is very fast - as you would expect with with a PCI Gen4 NVMe SSD.It was very easy to install. Obviously this may depend on your motherboard or any external case you are installing it into, but for me it was just a matter of removing the built in cooler from my motherboard, slotting the drive into place and then replacing the cooler. Having a cooler of some sort is essential as these type of drive can get quite hot under use and so a cooler to help the heat dissipate will extend the life of an NVMe SSD.There is software from WD to monitor the SSD and make sure the firmware is on the latest version. This can be quite important so useful to install and check occasionally.This drive should be compatible with most modern motherboards which support NVMe drives.

A great value for money gaming drive for enthusiasts
Excellent value for money. Bought this item to speed-up my son's hard-core gaming PC running on an NVIDIA RTX 4080. I extended the PCIe 3.0 slot, which was covered by the RTX 4080, with a 10Gtek PCIe Extension Cable, connected it to a MZHOU M.2 NVME card positioned in a free slot on the chassis and slotted the WD_BLACK SSD gaming drive. The process was simple enough and once the OS was transferred to the SSD and the PC made to boot from that drive, the system became significantly faster.

Has issues with windows 11 24h2 specifically
It is a great ssd, although windows has ruined it for new builders like me. They released an update god knows when and it breaks your computer with blue screens often.these blue screens areUnexpected store exceptionCritical process diedKeenan data impage errorSystem service exceptionTo fix these blue screens you can either download their software called wd dashboard, you can also use the more stable 23h2 *just a older version of windows 11* which I’m currently downloading. The heat levels have been fine and the boot time is around 15 seconds, I don’t have the option on in the power settings for it to go faster as it uses power when off. It was super easy to instal and I’ve already bought another for my second nvme slot.

Rubs hot but seems normal.
Bought with an enclosure for my new Mac mini.Whilst it runs hot there seems to be no issues and it’s lightning fast.Good stuff.

a lot of space and it loads fast
it is the normal size for a ssd. it is 2tb of storage and is very relyable. it only requires 1 small screw to intall into the motherbored (it didnt seem to come with it for me)
