Yes, this is durable. We have had this toy for some time now and it has stood up to frequent use with other light sabers in "battle." The only complaint I have is that it collapses only partially.

Q: How do I install the batteries?

Before you assemble the whole entire toy there should be within the first piece before you connect it to the second piece the the very first piece where's that you handle it with your hand there should be a screw towards the tip of the toy don't connect it though with another piece but there should definitely be a screw where you could least put double a batteries shouldn't be hard to spot if you have any issues please reply back

Q: Does the lightsaber light up?

Yes it does light up but it doesn't come with batteries.

Q: does it retract all the way?

Hi there ! The lightsaber does retract but not all the way into the hilt. I estimate there is about 3 or 4 inches of the colored part still showing when it retracts? Hope that helps!

Light saber

It cool play with and the plastic is strong but the only problem is that it dosent go down fully

Its was ok for a fancy dress party, but underwhelming because it doesn't light up. Also a bit of a faff because it doesn't go down or stay down fully so difficult to carry around.

Piece missing

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this for my son's birthday, and there is a piece missing, so now I have to send it back, wait for the refund, then order a new one. It was the main thing he wanted for his birthday. I'm so annoyed.
