I rent and flip properties, and enjoy doing most of the work myself. Expanding Pex is much easier and a lot quicker than sweating copper pipe fittings. This tool is perfect. works well and is super smooth to operate. For a single project it is much more cost effective than a much more costly powered expander.

Im a DIYer but I wanted to go with the PEX A cold expansion fittings because I noticed that is what the professionals use. This thing is very cumbersome to use in tight spaces and sometimes impossible to rotate which is necessary for a good fitting. It takes a huge amount of strength as well. My elbows were insanely sore after my bathroom project and Im a strong dude. I did probably around 50 different fittings with this thing and 25% of them leaked. Had to call a plumber. If you cant afford the Milwaukee power expansion tool, then go with the crimp style fittings, trust me.

It works. Larger 1” size can take some muscle. Especially if your conditions aren’t ideal, say in the attic lol. I wouldn’t want to use it all day. But good for repairs.

Takes a lot of strength to work handles, great for small jobs not great in small spaces.

One thing I like is that this tool is compact easy to handle and so versatile.
