So far, I cannot give a negative or a positive review on this cause. I just started my boy on it but from the reviews that I have read, it seems like it’s very good. I have tried numerous of things and nothing really helped with his hotspots so I’m giving this a shot. I will update and let you know to see if it actually worked on my boy. It doesn’t necessarily mean that if it doesn’t work on my boy, it wouldn’t work for you, but I am praying that it does work on him. He has a really big hotspot behind his tail. He won’t stop chewing it. I purchased a spray and I also purchased this. I read that you need to put a collar when you put this on to keep them away from licking it so I also bought him a collar and let’s see how this goes. It has a distinct smell to it but it’s OK as long as it worksUPDATE….. this ointment worked wonders. I saw the difference within four days after two weeks. I can honestly say that he is completely healed and it was very bad and very raw. The itching still continues, but without any sores on his body I purchased a spray now for the itching. This is a never-ending story. I will say be very careful when you put this ointment on your pet. Make sure to rub it in and cover up your furniture because it is very oily and it does stain wherever they lay.

My dog is a boxer mix, and he has terrible skin allergies. Sometimes he scratches himself raw, and he also chews his paws. He's currently on immune therapy and we've tried different remedies with little success. Probiotics, Anti-fungal cream, steroids orally from the vet, fish oil, and ketoconazole shampoo. Frequent baths help the most. But this Sulphodene ointment provides him relief when the itching gets bad. It allows him, and us to sleep. His bed is right next to ours. I like that it's thick and stays on. The scent is pleasant to me. Sort of like menthol. I don't know what the dog thinks of the smell, but he doesn't seem to mind. I've bought several tubes. It's easy to store, and easy to dispense, except for the very last of it. I roll up the tube as I go. It's a very good value. Not very expensive, and worth the money.

My husband and I tried this product a while back. Our Frenchie had scratches in his face from playing ruff in the back yard. So, we gave this product a try and it turns out this stuff really does work. I like it didn't irritate our dog when we applied it. Frenchies are prone to sweat more, so it kind of holds up. Just reapply if needed. I gave this review 4 stars because I feel the tube should be much bigger for the price.

Wow! This stuff is amazing!! My dog scraped her paw pad and it was raw and bleeding. I applied this ointment morning and night and after 3 days it was almost healed completely! She did lick at it some but not much as I don’t think it tasted very good to her at all! Which is great!!Would highly recommend this product!!!!

This is an amazing product!! My dog has seasonal allergies and breaks out in hot spots on her stomach and she tends to try and lick them a lot but when I put this ointment on she immediately stopped. I’ve been applying it twice a day and saw amazing results within the first couple of days. The redness and bumps have gone away a ton but not enough to fully heal. I’d recommend this product to help keep hot spots or other skin irritations under control until you can get into a vet. Overall an amazing product and has made my dog feel a lot better!

Got rid of a mystery rash on my pups stomach! The rash scabbed and peeled and it looks like it worked! I also love that this has essential oils in it!

This product has tea tree oil! Which is toxic to dogs. Please read about it and be very observant to make sure your dog doesn't lick it it you do end up using it. I used it on my dog a few times since there are so many good reviews here, but I noticed she became lethargic and stopped applying it on her. I'd rather spend money on the vet than risk her health.
