One of two vitamins I take for mental clarity.The other one is ginseng.They both work great highly recommended.

*Taken from a research review*Studies using less than 800 mg of S-PS supplementation showed beneficial effects on performance and markers of muscle damage. 750 mg of S-PS resulted in an increased time to exhaustion during stage intermittent cycling exercise, and tended to improve sprint and exercise performances during exhaustive intermittent running when compared to placebo. 600 mg and 300 mg S-PS significantly lowered creatine kinase levels 24-hours after a 90-min run; however, none of the studies showed an effect on cortisol response, establishing the effective dose at 800 mg S-PS per day for short-term application (10–15 days). A recent study reported positive effects on emotional response to a mental and emotional stressor after the supplementation of a soy lecithin complex. 400 mg per day resulted in a pronounced blunting of serum adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol levels compared to placebo; yet, higher doses (600 mg and 800 mg) did not result in the same effects.

My goal with using this supplement was to increase my alertness. Did not expect it to work so fast. I had this with my morning coffee, just 1 and damn. I've been on fire since then. This appears to increase your mental energy and alertness. At least that is what it did for me. It effectively eliminated my mental fatigue. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to keep the sleep monster away. LOL. Good luck. Hope it works for you also.

As mentioned by other reviews, Nutricost recently halved the dosage while increasing the price. This can be dangerous if someone is depending on getting the full dosage of the supplement and doesn't notice! This is the 2nd instance I've seen of Nutricost screwing around with formulas--they also changed their magnesium glycinate to contain magnesium oxide, and my subscription was automatically changed to the new inferior formula. Simple enough to change my order to Purely Holistic.From now on I'll have to scrutinize every Nutricost order to see if they're playing this dangerous game. As far as the PS, I can probably switch to Swanson and wait for a 40% discount to beat Nutricost's new higher price.
