Best knife I've had in years
This thing is so lightweight, so it makes fast cutting/chopping a breeze. The handle is so comfortable, despite being all metal (which I love, since the handle wont break off!) and has grooves for your thumb.. Seriously an amazing design. Looks sleek as well. Does need sharpening from time to time to keep it as sharp as it came out of the box, but at it's price, it's definitely worth picking up if you need a good knife and you are tired of your old dull ones that wont seem to sharpen anymore!

Awesome knife
Needed to replace a favorite knife of mine, didn't think I would find something I love so quickly. Love this knife, very sharp, cuts through meats and then veggies with ease and vice versa. Easy grip, comfortable, not awkward like many knives can be. For a short knife, it is amazing. My new go to knife, though I still miss my old one of nearly 30 years :/ Going to buy a second of this one because usually when I really like something, 2 years later it is no longer available.

The best knife I have now.
I got this knife because it was curved, one piece, lovely design, small but weighty, German made, and advertised that it was "ultra sharp." When I opened the box, I loved the design, feel in the hand, but when I tested the sharpness of the blade with my finger, I thought, "What the hey?? This thing is dull. " I ran my finger along the blade and it didn't cut or slice my finger -- not even a little. I was disgruntled and going to send it back, but I thought I would at least try cutting some veggies for stir fry. It chopped through those critters like buttah. Tried it with chicken -- the same. Glad I did. It is wonderful to work with -- just great size, balance, and looks loverly. I gave it 5 stars. I hope it maintains the edge. The only possible knit pickin' thing was the really small, clear blade tip protectors. They are very hard for me to see the openings and to put on. (at 73 years old my dexterity and eye sight sux, I must admit.) I wish they had made one long blade protector -- I really do. I'm leaving it in it's box (which is a pain - it takes up too much room in my drawer) to protect between uses. I know I'm going to loose those little suckers if I don't. But the knife itself is just a joy for me to use. Any suggestions on better way to protect it in a drawer would be welcome.

Granton Edge Budget Santoku
First, let’s call this knife what it is. A wider Santoku. Another buyer tried using this on chicken bones. This is not a cleaver. Of course it would chip, then again most people don’t know how to break bones properly. It’s a stainless steel knife meant for slicing and dicing. First night of use making a dish for my wife that requires a lot of work with a chef knife. I absolutely loved the granton edge. The food just fell off. The cuts were tight. I popped it on ceramic once before starting and once after I was done. The handle was comfortable. I used it in the kitchen for about 40 minutes straight. No hand fatigue. No grip issues. Just soap and hand dry and put it back in the box it came in until next time. This knife is a steal. I like the one piece construction, easy to clean up and sanitary. It is a chef/santoku hybrid of sorts that just works. It is NOT cleaver. Update International makes affordable cleavers or more robust chef knives for that. A full flat culinary knife with a granton edge is meant for chef duties. Cleavers are for bones. If you’re looking for a cleaver, look elsewhere. If you want an insanely cheap unique piece that performs like it looks, buy one.

What I Needed
I bought this knife after another knife I bought from Walmart broke or shall I say after the blade became detached from the handle. This knife is a one piece blade. Meaning the cutting blade is a part of the handle. I could not believe how well the knife cuts. The price was also a plus as it did not break the bank. Hopefully I can purchase other knives from this line.

Perfect price to performance ratio for me
I got this knife on a really good sale. It ended up being a little over $8 I think. I have bought a lot of cheap knives over the years, because I'm not willing to spend $30+ on one knife. I decided to give this knife a try since it was just a bit more than I normally pay for one. It was a great choice! It cuts through veggies and steaks like butter. I was able to slice a New York strip steak into very thin slices, very easily, to make an awesome beef stir fry. It sliced them so well they became pretty transparent. I have a decent knife sharpener that I will use for it, but as of yet I haven't needed to. It is still very sharp. It also feels great in my hand. It isn't as big as it looked in the photos. I was worried that it being a meat cleaver, it would be huge. But that isn't the case for me. It also has a nice weight to it. Unlike a lot of cheap knives that I've purchased, that feel like they're hollow. The packaging was also a lot more than I expected for this price point. Very well made.

Very good value
I like this because it’s light, very sharp and will be perfect for my needs. Came very nicely packed. I don’t need expensive equipment and this was a good price with good reviews. They provided a little booklet with usage, care and cleaning instructions. Perfect for my needs and good value. I really like that it’s one continuous piece. No handle to become loose or fall off.

Good knife, sharp out of box but steel isn't strong
It's a good looking knife, comfortable to hold and use, it's very sharp out of box but the stainless steel isn't very strong, I only use it to cut vegetables and soft meat, after few uses I need to honing the knife to keep the sharpness, will see for how long it will require actual sharpening. Don't try to cut any hard like bone, it will definitely chip the knife.

buono

Beautiful knife, easy to use and clean
Fantastic knife! Very sharp, comfortable to hold, easy to you, just let the weight of the knife do the work for you. Sleek design and is also very easy to clean because of the one piece design, there are no nooks or crannies for bacteria to get in. Overall lovely design

Rassicurante il made in Germany, garantito a vita.
