How to Be a Pirate (Little Golden Book)

Nice gift for children’s birthday party pirate themed.

I love this pirate book. I got it to go along with my son's pirate ship and treasure chest for Christmas. It's so cute with the rhymes. Must read with a "pirate" voice!

Great story & photos. A very FUN to read book. My two grandsons (ages 3 & 5) were fully engaged as I read it to them!

Love, love love the story. Illustrations and rhymes really capture my little one's attention. Nonetheless, I'm greatly disappointed with the quality of the book itself. I realize board books are better for toddlers, but I expected more durability from a hardcover. A few other cons: the pages rip easily, the colors are a bit muted (not vibrant like shown on the cover), and the book is so thin it might be mistaken for a greeting card. I still recommend it for the great, catchy story though.

preschoolers love it cute book

I wanted to give my daughter pirate lessons, but found local pirate schools in short supply. This book is a fun read, and great for kids of all ages. My 1 year old laughs at the pictures and like to point out the man, boy, bird, boat, and other details in the pictures. As she gets older, it will be fun reading as well. Great kids book. You can't go wrong with the Little Golden Book series. I enjoyed it 30 years ago as a kid, and now my little girl enjoys the same great books.
