Vital BabyNURTURE breast like starter set

I was really pleased to have bought these as I also bought the vital baby breast pump and these bottles fit with the pump. I was disappointed as the teat flow was so fast. I read reviews that said the same. I really liked the shape of the teat for my breastfed baby. Ended up buying and using Dr. Browns bottles instead.

This was my first experience of the Vital Baby brand, where with my firstborn i was more familiar with Tommee Tippee bottles so never felt the need to try any other as my daughter seemed happy at the time. My second child is completely opposite to my first, my first rejected breastmilk, unless it was expressed in a bottle and even then she preferred formula, whilst my 3 month old absolutely loves breast milk. The only issue with this is that because he is so comfortable and reliant on the boob, its makes it hard for my partner to help out on nights where i want to sleep, so i was delighted to be able to try their 'breast like' starter set.Their bottles are really good quality, very premium! The size of them are very big and wider to what i expected and i like the shape of the teet, it is quite long but you can blatantly tell it's meant to resemble a nipple. The starter set comes with 4 bottles : two 150ml and 250ml, the 150ml sized ones are perfect for a newborn might i add! I did hope that these bottles may help ease my baby off his love for my boob, however unfortunately it seems that he has made his mind up of his preference, and lets just say it isn't Vital Baby (LOL). He did drink from the bottle with no issues, so i can't deny it's performance, however i do really believe sometimes it can be down to each child. I know that my firstborn would've LOVED these bottles so its trial and error. I tried the soother for my newborn, however he's not a fan of them and spits them out.Overall its an excellent starter kit for any new mum. It can be so over whelming with all the different brands, where i do feel like this is overlooked and underrated! Its a shame that my newborn prefers the real thing, however this reflects him more than the product itself!

This is new design of feeding bottles comparing to other well known brands.The bottles feels wider, taking space in changing bag. The teat is very smooth, flexible and flatter. I never seen flat teats on the feeding bottle. There is also 3 air vents to release the air when baby drinks milk from the bottle.My 4 months old nephew had some difficulty to switch from Tommee Tippee bottles because the milk flows faster and he nearly choked on it.. that's a bit strange because teat is designed for babies from birth and he is already 4 months old so he should manage with that.. maybe with some time and few trying he will get used to it and finally drink more for his age. Some babies have big appetites and this bottles will be perfect for them without problems of choking.I'm glad that this set includes double sided brush, one silicone one for bottle and the smaller bristle one for teats. Brushes makes life much easier.Dummy as the fastest been accepted by nephew and he uses it every day.Bottles are strong and durable, well made and free from BPA and other harmful chemicals. It's easy to screw the teat in and remove it. One thing which is a bit annoying that the lid covering the teat is hard to remove it, sits very firmly. I think after few weeks will be easier to deal with it.Overall, this is lovely starter set for baby, could make nice gift too. It's good value for money.

Really intricate bottle designs. Love how they have that silicone brush which I find so much more hygienic than other brushes. I had to throw other bottle brushes away because they started to get mould inbetween. This will be easier to clean and disinfect. Could even stick it into boiling water to really deep clean it. Just wish the tiny teat brush were the same.It’s a lovely kit and would make a great gift for a baby shower as well. Especially because it comes with the bigger bottle sizes. I haven’t got any big ones so far so they will come in really handy. The box even reminds you to clean out the little valves to make sure they function properly. Would have forgotten so even better that they wrote that on there.Dummies are always handy to have so perfect that it’s in there as well. Really grateful that a proper dummy cap comes with it, but it is a bit fiddly to take it off. However, I’ve had some dummies come without any or only a rubbish cap. So no complaints there.I’ve seen negative reviews of their other bottle types which made me a bit suspicious in regards to the numbers rubbing off. That would be a big nuisance, but I haven’t had that issue yet. I must add I haven’t put them in a dishwasher yet. I clean them right away with the bottle brush and see no need to put them in the dishwasher nor do I boil them as some are actually not meant for that. Dr Browns Baby Bottles for example should not be boiled. Anyways, I think the bottle cap is really great too because it has a little place to hold the teat in place and will thus prevent leakage and spillage. Some bottle brands don’t have that and you can see droplets of the milk everywhere in the bottle cap. Especially when you travel or when you’re out and about that’s the last thing you need.Therefore value for what you get is outstanding and can only recommend this.
