Solid State Physics

The book itself seems pretty decent. This cheap Indian edition, however, is not very good. The pages are super thin and the text is too close to the inner margin.

A broad spectrum book, I found it very useful for reading during University module. I would thoroughly recommend this book for condensed matter introduction

Without saying the obvious this book is essential reading for all students studying the solid state : particularly metals.The point i wish to communicate is simply to be aware that the Indian Edition of this book has been printed with an exceedingly small margin: Which means that the text can appear to curve into the spine of the book while reading. Bending the pages on the left hand side down sorts this out but its a bit annoying.Otherwise the Indian Edition is fine and i would recommend it.

Whilst the content of the book is not at issue, do not expect to be buying a quality book. The details of this edition of the text are not listed completely. This is in fact a printed copy intended for publication in India and Pakistan, although in an attempt to hide this you will no doubt find liberal application of permanent marker pen and black cardboard to conceal the true details of this edition and print.
