Absolute god send!At the moment seat's are taped off to discourage people having a sit down, but when you have problems with your joints and need to sit, just get this out.i have a large bag to carry all my bits in and this just slips in it, when closed. It's not as long as ght as a feather but it's not too heavy either. It's tall enough so that my hips are more or less level with my knees (I'm 5foot 7inches) and it is a akes my weight and I'm not skinny!!I use mine when I'm waiting for a bus, need to rest and even in the shop whilst queueing!One of the best things I've bought.

I bought two. One broke the first time we used it - all the links came out and my 81 year old husband fell. He was not hurt but someone else might have been. The other is fine but I haven't dared to use it since. It looks good, wonderful weight and everything going for it - except safety and sturdiness. Cannot recommend it for that reason.

Got this for my Mom. She’s old-ish (70) and gets around pretty well but suffers with back pain when walking or standing for a long while. She also has some trouble getting up from the floor if she’s been sitting on the grass etc. as she’s had bilateral knee replacements.She saw this and kept dreaming about the convenience it would provide, so I got her one and it’s fabulous. It’s going to be great for day trips, it’s light, compact and even has a wee strap so you can sling it over your shoulder.I love my Mom and she loves this stool. Everyone is a winner.

I received is product with one problem this trip was broken

It did fall apart pretty quickly due to the hooks holding the top on letting go. Once the top was off the first layer of supports, which are not a contiguous solid ring like the lower ones, fell out.As sold, it’s prone to disassembling itself. So if you’re unwilling to use some glue in the right places to fix this, don’t buy it. Also, why should you need to fix design flaws right after buying something that you expect to be serviceable?Looking at where mine failed, I think adding glue to the little studs and silicone adhesive blobs to the hooks which hold the top on might fix the problem. I may however find that more problems or collapses appear.If this was designed and built better it would be a great portable stool. As it is, it just doesn’t hold together well.I can’t really recommend it.Shame.

The stool I bought also collapsed on first sitting, and dumped me onto concrete. I'm 71 with arthritis, and I was floundering on the ground unable to get up. My friend, who is several years older than me, had to find somehow to help me. Very.embarrassing. I wasn't seriously injured - just a grazed arm - but I was very shaken up by the experience. I took photos of the wrecked stool and did get my money back without any problem.I already have a very similar-looking stool, for which I paid twice the price - but it hasn't let me down yet. I guess it's a case of getting what you pay for!

Bought this as I go walking with my mother and she can only walk short distances and needs to stop . There is not often an outdoor seat so I take this stool with me and she can sit and rest . Very sturdy compact stool. Very easy to set up and collapse .

Stood on it set at 1/2 height leaned over at +/- 50 degrees, & it popped - one of the little square-ish pieces that it's made of fell out rendering it useless now...
