measurements: all in the details..
the measurements even from the manufacturer's site (and a phone call to them) confirm that it's the -glass- measurement, not _with_ the top frame....Mine is a 35 gallon, a tall tank version & I wasn't sure that it'd fit.Frame (plastic rim around the top) was 12-1/2" = 31.7cm deep by 30-1/4" long(front width) = 76.5cm and this is a good fit with a smidge of wiggle, but I can still get those secure all metal clips on top as well. (takes the 'smalls' same as any 12"deep x 30' front width inch tank.hope that's useful or assuring to others.

IMHO, best screen lid for reptile tanks*
So, I love this type and style of screen lid for reptiles housed in fish tanks. The hinged middle allows one side to stay clipped to the tank (!!always use tank clips to keep potential escapees in their homes!!), while also allowing you generous access to the tank. The asterisk by the headline is because not all reptiles do well in glass fish tanks. Some need acrylic tanks to keep in heat and humidity. In some of those cases, simply affixing a piece of plexiglass across one side of the lid can help increase the heat and humidity kept inside the tank. (This is assuming you are using either an under tank heater and/or heat lamp above the tank; the way I do it, the heat lamp goes on the side without the plexiglas.) In any case, if you need a screen lid for your tank, this is a great one.

Perfect top!
I bought this to replace my tanks top which was a slide out type. Very awkward to get in and out of the tank without shaking and jostling the entire setup. This new hinged door fits perfectly over my tank (30x12x12), leaves room for wires to route out the back, and makes it so much easier to open and close for access. My lights sit on one side and I go in and out of the other.

cat proofs aquariums.
I bought this for a 29 gallon tank that both my cats are determined to sit on. I was worried they'd break the hood with the light. This fits perfectly (roughly 30 1/4" x 12 3/4" tank dimensions). Very well built. The metal screening is solid but easy to make cutouts. I put the hood with lights on top of this and made small cutouts for the filter tubing and to feed, etc. Perfect for my needs. The middle joint adds additional strength which is great.

Works well
I bought this for my 20ga long. The mesh is a metal mesh I was able to use a Dremel to cut a hole for my misting system as well as a cut-out for my radiant heat panel. The middle where it bends has just enough gap to put a temp probe wire through without punching. There is also a small gap at all four corners for wire to fit through without punching if needed.Would purchase again.

Awesome for arboreal geckos
These hinged doors are great for one main reason - the hinge. I make my aquariums into reptile tanks and with this kind of screen I can tape the bottom half on and access everything by swinging the top down. I'm turning the tanks on the side so I can use the max vertical height.

Cat proof!
This is a very solid tank. I have a small size cat that likes to sit on top and watch the salamander.

Make sure you get screen locks to go with this!
Excellent! I have a few different types of screen tops but I really like this one for my kingsnake! I always recommend screen clips to keep the screen locked on the top, especially with snakes! It’s super great to be able to open a whole side by just undoing one clip!
