I melt/smelt (i don't know the proper term) every so often with tools and tactics that are not preferred (channel lock pliers for movement and heat supplied by a bonfire), and this Crucible takes it in stride, it breaks down slower than I assume it should be and that's either quality or not hot enough to destroy the clay graphite inside of it. I tend to melt aluminum in this and I'm a happy customer of multiple of these crucibles

This crucible does its job well. Please remember this product is not made to last forever, but with proper handling ought to last a good while before failing.

After 4 uses it did crack. But to be fair there may have been water left in one of my cans.

Works great. 5 melts in. Very well made

I have not fired up #6 12kg MegaCast, Crucible yet and will wright a full review when I have done so. However the crucible is very stout and it looks like it will get the job done right! Sincerely Miguel Cancel

this is pure trash, exploded on my first use, and that's the second one i got from this supplier, and it was trash too. I'm not wasting another cent!
