Tasty

I don't know why others are complaining about the taste. I love it. It tastes very close to Nutella, but with clean ingredients and low carb and sugar. It's perfect for a little treat on Keto.

Healthier, more nutritious AND more weight friendly!?! Right up my alley!

First Nutella knock off I’ve tried and as of right now I’m happy I went with this one! Loving it on thin grain crackers, diet (“light”) toast, strawberries, and apple slices!Pros(compared to Nutella)•Certified Organic•More NutritiousNo, I’m not gonna pretend this is a “health food.” It’s still an “indulgence food” but it has far more fiber in it, a teeny bit more protein, a surprising amount of non-heme iron, and the same amount of calcium despite being dairy-free. I don’t know how absorbable the mineral sources are, but it’s still much better than an empty-calorie indulgence!•More Dieter-Friendly!This is only has 150kcal per 2TBS while Nutella has 200kcal. Though this isn’t really a “diet food” I do still love that it’s made to be more suitable for health-conscious consumers *and* weight-conscious consumers.I also noticed the 25kcal reduction per TBS makes this spread’s calorie-sparing similar to a few other things I’ve switched over to:•whipped peanut butter (JIFwhips)•sugar-free fruit preserves (Polaner/Smuckers)•sugar-free chocolate syrup (Hershey/StoreBrands)———— Like this spread they are 25-35kcal lighter per TBS compared to their regular counterparts. In my experience this amount of spared calories really does make a difference in the long term! It’s definitely a bit easier for me to manage my weight w/o treating myself less (at home) when I use several reduced-calorie products like this.•Lack of sugars. The first Ingredient in Nutella is table sugar and it has 21g! This uses the non-caloric, non-glycemic, non-artificial sweeteners erythritol (the thing in Swerve) and stevia (the main thing in Truvia). This only has 2g of sugar so it’s better for blood sugar & insulin response than cane sugar and other free-sugars like brown sugar, beet sugar, molasses, date sugar/syrup, dextrose, corn syrup, or hfcs. Much less guilt inducing!Cons:(Compared to Nutella)•Nutella is sweeter and has a better taste overall but that’s what I expected since Nutella is mostly sugar and junk food is engineered to be addictively palatable! It think it would probably be better if they replaced some/all of the stevia in it with a different 0-GI sweetener that has a less bitter after taste. Allulose, inulin & monk fruit come to mind.•Price is notably higher — but considering the fact that it uses organic+better quality ingredients and took more ingredients to create and is a specialty product I still gave this full stars for valueOther Pros:(General)•No artificial sweeteners. (Saccharin, Sucralose, Aspartame, Ace-K) While I do I understand that they are safe, some people like to avoid them and the natural sweeteners Pyure used have been suggested to be beneficial to our gut microbiome and better for organ function than non-caloric artificial sweeteners .•Free of hydrogenated seed & vegetable oils. And thus it’s free of PARTIALLY hydrogenated S&V oil — that’s the one that adds synthetic trans fats to our food. Both partially & fully hydrogenated oils are often used in USA products like nut butters, dessert spreads & sweets quite a bit. I’m rather cautious of the ones that don’t make it clear that they are “fully” hydrogenated and leave it vague on the packaging. Thankfully this product just uses organic non-hydrogenated oils so I have no worries!

Amazing but beware

The best tasting nutella substitute…because it uses erythritol unfortunately . This has recently been linked to increase in heart attack and stroke in otherwise healthy people among other things. Which is truly terrible as it’s the best substitute out of all of them. So eat this super frickn good spread with caution.

Why ruin it with Stevie

I was so excited when I saw that this was sweetened with a sugar alcohol but it wasn't until I tasted it that I realized that it had the all too familiar aftertaste that I dislike more than anything. Sugar alcohols don't typically have an aftertaste so why use stevia in combination with a sugar alcohol? All I can taste is the awful aftertaste stevia leaves behind. It's a shame because I don't eat anything containing stevia no matter how desperate I am. I just don't like the aftertaste at all and this stuff isn't cheap.

COMPLETELY INEDIBLE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

The whole jar is just ROCK SOLID chocolate, with a very thin layer of runny liquid on top. It is impossible to break down the chocolate rock and impossible to mix in the separated oily liquid into a single consistency, at least with any tool home tool. The liquid itself is the consistency of whipping cream, and not spreadable either.I assume this is the case for all their stock. Since what I received appears to be a FRESH batch with over a year long expiration date. DO NOT waste your $10 on this product.

Great!

This was pretty good

Yummy, with healthy ingredients

Made with good sweeteners--erythritol and stevia. No bad oils, only some palm oil., cocoa, + hazelnuts is the main ingredient

Sadly let down after good reviews...

I don't leave many reviews but I feel I have to for this one... I've followed a low-carb and keto lifestyle for several years now. I'm familiar with erythritol, stevia, monkfruit and the gammut of sweetness & flavor enhancers put into many commercial keto-friendly products. I use monkfruit and erythritol on a daily basis, so they are anything but new to me, and my protein shakes contain stevia. I'm not a huge fan of stevia because it's very easy to go overboard, but most keto products I've tried in the last year or so seem to have a good grip on 'how much is too much'.When I read the reviews for this chocolate-hazelnut spread, I figured "they can't really screw this up if all they do is replace the sugar with erythritol", as the basis of Nutella is hazelnuts, cocoa, palm oil and sugar... there's not a lot to mess with.Sadly, outside of the color and spreadability of this product, it tastes pretty darn terrible, and I'm usually accepting of 'doesn't quite taste like the real thing but it'll do'. Friends: this does NOT taste very good. In fact, it has very little taste at all. Like, I'd describe it as cardboard soaked in stevia with a barely-there hint of hazelnut. The sweetness is overwhelming and the flavor is just so bland that I can't enjoy it. I was dreaming of eating this with a spoonful of natural peanut butter - like a Reese's peanut butter cup on steroids - but that's not happening. At best I'll maybe throw it into my protein shakes, but I fear the sweetness from the stevia will ruin them.Buy at your own risk of disappointment. It does NOT check the nutella-wannabe list - not even close. You'd think it would at least taste like hazelnuts! After so many awesome tasting keto-products out there, this one sadly fails in my books. Save your money. You're probably better buying some hazelnuts, pulsing them with oil, adding cocoa and powdered erythritol and making your own. I would put money on it that it'd taste better! I might just go try that now!
